At night, when i turn my heat lamp off with the switch, does anyone know about how many watts the thermostat is using while the lamp is off? Because its still seeing the temperature of the tank yk... so like how many watts is it actually using for it to do that? I can only find how much it can power (600 watts)
and just btw, not tht it matters for this question but im using a deep heat projector and not a halogen light because my geck is sensitive to light (closes eyes to walk around etc)

what's her tank look like if i can ask /gen
Also i sadly don't know how much the actual thermostat is using but
i would be interested to see what her tank looks like!
Light sensitive leos 100% can still have lighted sources but they require a lot more shade and cryptic basking opportunities that they can escape from the light from
ahh yeh that's probably way
clutter that shit up

i also personally useeeeee
My two light sensitive leos do amazing with this bulb btw! ^ annd the daylight bulb is also a good option . Their beams are softer and wider then halogens so they are not as harsh on their eyes. C: but yeh give her more coverage in the future!

You'd need to plug it into a special socket to find that actual draw on idle mode with something like this.
Limited-time deal: SONOFF S31 15A WiFi Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring ETL Certified, WiFi Smart Socket Outlet Timer Switch, Compatible with Alexa & Google Home Assistant, IFTTT Supporting, No Hub Required https://a.co/d/alzpdBa
I'd guess the idle load would not be higher than 30W as a lenient guesstimate
since I never tested it out.
I might soon though just to give info on running costs!
Okay, tested mine out and when it was inactive at night, just monitoring temps it was sitting at 3.5 W draw, quite negligible imo.
