#would this be safe to have in tank or should I keep it near tank instead of in tank

I'd say no, but I'm really not sure. I wouldn't think so bc there's probably chemicals in it
I'll try to do some research with it i might leave it around the tank like on the outside. Just trying to find a better and longer lasting way to dehumidifiy the tank.
Yeah I wouldn't put it In the tank because geckos are curious and yours would likely walk in and start licking it/digging in it. but if it's odorless and doesn't put off fumes it might be fine just putting it around the room, if it's just something like charcoal or carbon
I believe the most effective way to reduce tank humidity has been using room dehumidifiers, some people have also reported putted putting (uncooked) rice in a sock and put it up on top of the mesh. More options if this product isn't viable since I'm not familiar with it
Mhm ok it's just im constantly dumping my dehumidifier and it's doesn't run more than 8 hours so if I'm not home and have no one to dump the dehumidifier it's hard to keep it down that way even more so if I'm taway for a weeek on vacation. so trying to find alternatives that last longer
Oh if you've already tried a dehumidifier as long as you verify this is safe (no chemical fumes, check ingredients, etc) I'm sure it'd be worth a try!
I do have to say, dehumidifiers definitely take a lot of work with humid rooms, we constantly have to dump ours aswell
Yes it's definitely annoying and mine I'd hugecand I'm still dumping it every so often.
I'll look into it's ingredients for sure.
Are there any without the fragrance bead?
I think it'd ordoless
I didnt see that last part I'll look into that later v trust me I'm gonna do a ot of research on this to make sure cause 75 is a lot to spend on something I might not be able to use.
I found some that uses activated charcoal for this.abd last up to 60 days depending on temp that is perfect and I could put 1 on each near tank on each side.it does 300sq ft per thing.
I'm open to suggestions.for this

I've been looking into passive dehumidifiers as well and stumbled into rocks salts from multiple sources.
Chemically it's pretty similar to DampRid ingredients using Calcium Chloride, salt is Sodium Chloride. From the general instructions it works the same way DampRid does in which it traps and drips the moisture into a separate compartment below
At least with the diy Rock Salt, you know what's there yourself. (Could also imitate those rocks salt lamps that give off negative electrons for happier life)
It's probably not recommended to put it directly inside with the Leo as well like any other options out there. No matter how natural it is.
Something like this, but adjust the scale to your use

Well that is also why I said around as in near the tank instead of in I appreciate the idea.ill have to look into it.
Yeah! Share how it goes if you decide on the rock salt option. The pdfs above are the most recent Safety Data Sheets that list the ingredients of the commercial choices if you were wondering.
Alright thanks.
