Hi all, I've been using timberline organic topsoil for some time as part of my Leo's substrate mix. Recently I bought a new bag from my local home & garden and found that it appears to have a ton of what I assume to be perlite added in.

I don't know if it's just this bag or if it's a new addition timberline has added, but none of my many previous bags had perlite added in before.

Are the perlite pellets safe for my Leo and generally ok to use as part of the substrate? Anything I should know about the stuff? Thanks

nah the potting soil is a purple bag think i wonder if it got bagged wrong

I wouldn't use it if it has perlite in it :o just cus that could mean it has other things in it

I'm definitely a bit hesitant, as there's a TON of it mixed in.

And from what little I can find online, there doesn't seem to be much about whether it's safe for Leo's or not.
