Hi all, I have a wooden viv with a glass front, and recently my gecko just stands near the glass and looks out. Obvs this isn’t an urgent issue but just wondering what’s this change in behaviour, is she bored of her set up?

They can be very curious, so she may just be observing you or the room at large, if she isn’t actively against the glass I wouldn’t worry about it NQA

Thanks for your reply, just strange behaviour to usual haha. That and along with some digging

Do people change the layout of their enclosures to prevent them getting bored every once in a while

Ahhh okay that makes sense. I can’t remember the size of the vivarium but this is the setup I have

It’s hard to tell size from a picture but it seems to be about the right size, and it looks like you have plenty of cover for her as well as climbing opportunities. if you’re worried she’s bored you can always try to provide some food based enrichment like a treat feeder (an occasional hornworm for example) NQA
