flour should work
wheat bran
dirt
yeah dirt
i dont use any
oats
Yes
dirt
Really?
dirt
really
I would blend the oats a bit (just to make them smaller). I used to have issues with mold when using whole oats but after blending them it's gone away
Then what should you use dirt or oats?
And flour works?
Dirt is more natural and doesn’t need changing. Oats need changing after awhile
absolutely riveting conversation in here
i dont change the oats in my mealworm tubs
they eat it tho so do you just leave the little bits?
Yeah
i add more when they've eaten all of it
I’m not breeding mine so ig it’s different since I only have a cup of them
But supposedly mealworms poop are good for plants
I don't think flour works
yea the few times when i have cleared out their frass ive sprinkled it outside. natural fertiliser ^_^
why? i use it and its all ok
really
i just cleaned out some frass, could i just throw it in as fertilizer?
On this topic of dirt
my dirt that’s been sitting in the garage should be okay for my roaches and worms right. It’s what I use for my isopods but
I got anxiety

This study indicates that frass has a great potential to be used as a partial or a complete substitute of mineral NPK fertilizer. Indeed, due to its rapid mineralization and its high content in readily-available nutrient, frass has similar effectiveness to supply N, P and K and sustain biomass production than NPK fertilizer. In addition, compared to mineral fertilizer, water soluble P concentration is up to ve times lower in the presence of frass, which prevents P from loss and sorption onto soil constituents. Most importantly, the presence of frass may increase microbial metabolic activity and diversity, suggesting a better soil functioning, especially when frass is combined with mineral fertilizer
bless
inchresting stuff
one question
i bought a second hand terrarium that was used for a bearded dragon
i cleaned all with just water, is that enough or i need to do something else?
@brittle umbra
how you do that
I’d make your own thread for that question :0
ok
vinegar with apple should work?
Apple?
That looks like something to use in the kitchen though
but should it work?
and yes it is used for salads
I use this stuff
just remembered
i think i dont have these
and another method to desinfect the tank?
Open up the other post to see what peachy said
