august
apparently she wasnt even eating before that either
she wasnt eating because of her ulcer but now idk why she isnt eating
her ulcer is healed
ok so all of these things would be super helpful
~what are you feeding
~how often are you feeding
~is she currently eating
~pictures of your setup
~what supplements are you using
~what heating/lighting are you using
-mealworms
-everyday but she just doesnt even want to eat
-no
-okay realizing, that may be the issue. im building her enclosure rn but i will send a picture after
- calcium
- halogen
ok so
everything
ofc
you should have 3 staple feeders
mealworms can be one but you'll need at least 3
it may be she just doesnt want mealworms
althought tbf it doesnt sound like it
I would cut back on how often you are offering if she's an adult to 2x a week, the stress may be contributing to her not eating
iirc locusts & silkworms a lot of leos go crazy for and they have good nutritional values
so you could try those to jumpstart her apetite
you can also try "pinning" her feeders
tw a little bit gruesome ||just poke the feeder with a pin so some of the guts n juice come out, makes them extra smelly and more appealing||
@teal light a few follow up questions
- calcium with d3 or without? any other supplements?
- do you have UVB?
- is your halogen on a thermostat?
- if you have temps that would be super handy
- are you still setting up her enclosure or is it just minor tweaks?
- how are you offering food? bowl, tongs, in enclosure, out of enclosure?
I'd like a picture of what she's in currently
shes babey
how old?
that i dunno, i was given her and was told no info
has she eaten at all since august?
i dont think so
could you get a picture for me
of her
yes
haha thank you
like this?
that works!
like from a birds eye view?
okay
she’s being moved to a new tank so i know she wouldn’t wanna eat even more
what size tank is she in right now?
wait really?
you are right moving her may stress her and make her less likely to eat
I'd make sure the 20 is suitable but Id hold off on moving her into another enclosure entirely
do you have a picture of the 20?
@limpid basin how old does she look? poor girl hasn't eaten for a few months
Cgriff breeds leos so when she's online she should be able to help out with age
I'd add more clutter but imo a tank move may just add more stress
a vet visit may be in order if she doesnt eat for much longer
Do you know how much she weighs? No baby band and in my experience albinos lose their baby bands quite late
no
Without knowing how big she is best I can guess is 6+ months
She's lanky but that could be from age or it could be because she's not been eating / didn't have the best husbandry prior to coming to you
oh this picture i just realized she was out of her cage LMFAO
yeah. her enclosure before had soil and others but a lot of her hides were infected
Infected?
like it was moldy and had things eating this one shed hide
If she was cohabbed she could be underweight from that. If you told me she was 6 months old for sure I'd say she looks healthy, but if she's 1.5+ years she needs feeding up a bit. It's tough in this sort of situation!
yeah honestly i have no info on her
the issue is she hasnt eaten since august
and still hasnt so itll be hard to get her weight up until shes eating
yeah ill see if she will eat the crickets, if not, what other food would she like?
hornworms, bsfl, silkworms and locusts a lot of leos like
Again, time of year renders that relatively normal if she's fully grown and worrying if she's not! If you could grab a weight on her and potentially get her looked over by a vet that would probably be best!
the vet said she’s fine actually
