Hello was wondering if someone can help me! So basically I fed my leopard gecko two days ago, he’ll be fed again tomorrow, but I noticed something strange. Not sure if I accidentally overdusted with the calcium as there was quite a bit on the last batch of bugs he had (still getting used to dusting), but it looks like he pooped a mealworm? He’s done 5 perfectly healthy poops before this so I know temps are fine. Is this just a one off? He’s a year old, I’ve been feeding him 3-4 times a week, he eats 8 bugs each feeding.
Next to the weird mealworm poop is a perfectly healthy one (did clean up after but left it there to show the side by side). Thanks so much!

It's hard to see because of the lighting, but has your gecko shed recently? Shed can make the poop lighter
is that purple light in his enclosure ? /gen
The breeder said he was a juvenile with a little bit of growing to do so I thought of using the 6-12 month schedule but if he should be fed less I’ll go to the 12+ month one then
Hasn’t shed yet no
No it’s outside sorry I have a grow light on the other side of the room for my plants
ooooh no it's okay! I wasn't sure if it was on the inside or not
was gonna say ideally you want their tank dark at night
No yeah sorry xD turned it on quickly because it isn’t that bright near his enclosure if that makes sense and I didn’t wanna disturb him by putting the main light on but I needed a picture of the weird poop/regurgitation 🤧
Should I take a pic in the morning with natural lighting?
That would be helpful, feel free to share it in #tw-animal-pics when you do (that's essentially the poop channel)
