Information: Combination of established materials with homebrew races, magical items, monsters, and spells. Expect most of the monsters from the MM and other books to act as pertaining to their alignments and history, but also there to be some variations. I tend to switch between descriptive scenes and imagery, and letting the players play their characters in a similar vein as to Matthew Mercer on CR. I am DMing a story of epic fantasy with political intrigue interspersed with RP, combat, and downtime. Level ups are milestone-based and plot-related. Furthermore, the choices that players make matter, with every choice having a consequence to it, whether that be good or bad.
Setting:
In a world full of strange and magical creatures, dragons are one of the least common and yet most powerful and long-lived creatures. After the bitter and devastating civil war that was the Dragon Wars, which had nearly wiped them out, their numbers have slowly grown over the many millennia. While Chromatic dragons tend to have greater number of eggs and grow faster, letting the young fend for themselves within a few decades, Metallic dragons tend to have and care for a single egg at a time in family units. It is almost always a time of joy and celebration for all when a new Metallic dragon is born.
However, there are those who oppose the dragons. Ever since the Wars' destruction and slaughter, a bitter and secretive group have worked in the shadows to destroy the dragons' hope as well as all of dragonkind. In a recent turn of events, they have attempted to destroy many dragons and dragonkind, young and old, in a deadly attack during the celebration. Feelings of unrest and righteous anger have grown considerably as innocent, non-dragonkind were among the victims as well in the attack. A widespread search has commenced to find a cure for the deadly poison used in the massacre. A poison that has affected even the most powerful of dragons and resists all attempts of magical cures.
This deadly threat has brought many to aid in the plight of the innocent, whether that be dragon or non. There is much opportunity for all. What will your choices be?
The game uses DnD 5e and most of its corresponding books as the world is an original creation of mine and continues to grow. Other sources are used at my discretion for the same reason. Homebrew is welcome as I love adding to my story and I love making my own homebrew as well. It will be part combat, part investigation, part intrigue, and part downtime for your characters. So, I hope you're comfortable with roleplaying and are able to roleplay well with others.
Requirements: No other requirements besides the ability to play the apps and sites already mentioned. Webcams are encouraged but not necessary.
