#Can't see other player and more bug PC

Hello, I wanted to play the game We Were Here Expeditions: The Friendship with my friend but I have a weird glitch. I asked mods in the discord and I didn't get any help. So the problem is:

When I am in the Lobby the first thing that is weird is I can only see the character with the yellow jacket that stands in front but I cannot see the character in the red jacket that usually stands behind at the map. When I play with my friend and we start the game I cannot see my friend or me I can only see our walkie talkies. Later on I saw that my friend has "loaded" in game and I could see him but he and me are both constantly crouching for me unless I walk or run then I stand normally. So always when I stop moving I crouch instantly. My friend can see everything normally and is not crouching if he doesn't press ctrl. I also noticed that I can look sideways and down but I cannot look upwards. For my friend if I look straight for him it looks like that I am looking all the way up.

I have a very good gaming pc and is way better than the requirements. I play on a ultra wide screen but I also tried changing the resolutions and it didn't help. I tried to start the game as administrator but that didn't do anything either.

I hope someone could help me since I really want to play this game.

A new update just came out so you should both also update your game

I recently got a similar-ish case from someone in We Were Here Forever who couldn't see the other person, but in the end it was an internet issue. That person got glass fiber and after that it worked fine. Not being able to see one of the 2 players has in the past turned out to usually be either a graphics card/spec issue, or a network related issue. So seeing your specs I would say it is most likely a network related issue then.

And in that case it would be:
The person that is invisible = the person with the bad internet/network issues

So you could ask your friend to send his player log files and his specs + a screenshot of a speedtest

My friend played it before with someone else and there it worked fine for both of them. He can clearly see me and everything works for him. I think it's a issue from me. I can see that in the beginning the yellow character should be helping the red character to get out of the boat but my friend says my character doesn't do that and I'm just standing still and he gets out of the boat alone. So when I first join in the game I instantly spawn and I do not see the sequence where I help the red character out of the boat.

But we didn't try it with the new update so we will update it and then try it again.

Ahh alright, well yeah try the update and otherwise you can send me your speedtest and your player log file, and I will check if a dev has time to look at your file to see if he can find any info in there

I can't do the update yet since I'm not home but I did a speedtest yesterday and I saved the picture. I have no clue how to see my player log file tho. Could you please explain to me where I can see that? ^^

Thanks! Ill send this to a dev. Keep in mind that theyre very busy fixing another issue atm so I can't promise when Ill get a reply but Ill get back to you as soon as I got more info

So our dev had a look and he said that it looks like your game files got corrupted

So what you could try to do is verify your Steam integrity files and make sure that your Anti Virus or Firewall is not blocking out certain game files

So I quickly tried to verify my Steam integrity files and it seems like it's working from now. I didn't completely try to play but I went in the lobby and I could see the character in the red jacket. I do not have a Anti Virus or Firewall so why could that have happened?

Hmmm I wouldn't know how, perhaps some other software that might be interfering? But let's hope it's working now!
