This thing is already very annoying.
Lately I've been playing Unturned a lot (and still do). I stay on the game for a long time (last continuous game session lasted 200+ minutes). Even if Buff shows me that it records when I exit the game, the buff freezes and I don't receive the xp (200 minutes = 2000 XP + 20% (from pass) = 2400 XP (this means for me an extremely large amount of lost xp)) . I only had this problem once (I can say for sure that I lost over 10,000 XP). I'm not asking for my XP back, I just want to point out this problem, because it's very annoying.

Anyone track the XP gained vs what you actually got? I'm seeing discrepencies after charting it. For example, my last game I started at 169 XP. After my game was calculated/closed/finalized it went up to 712, for an increase of 543. However, the end-game calculation claimed it rewarded me with 766... For reference, my level is the same as it was before, so it wasn't from leveling, and the beginning number was logged over an hour before starting. I've noticed what I felt was off numbers in the past with this which is why I started charting/logging the data and comparing it to what the client is claiming

If your game is closed already and that window is there you won't get credit for anything anymore (even other games) until you fully restart Buff again. And you will lose those rewards since the client is hung/broke

Just ran 2 more games (different ones) on PC. All are giving less XP than they claim. I got -48 xp and -31 xp. Both are about 10% of the total that was earned it appears

(to clarify, -48 and -31 represents XPActualMoved-XPAppClaimsPaid)

I'd have a decent amount more xp if it actually credited the right way, lol. If anyone is doing mobile, please do this:
Log your level/XP before
Log your level/XP after a game and what it claims was paid

To answer this, no, that doesn't affect it. Your bug is the same I have with a lot of games. If it's not on the "official" list of supported games, the bonus window does nothing at all. It'll claim it's rewarding but never will. I play almost all nonofficial Buff games, like FF14, WoW, etc. and have always racked up 1-15 buff "bonuses" and my history shows I've never been given a single reward for any of them. I swapped to an official game, Fortnite, and it always shows up in my history after. I'm not sure if it's a bug that the window even pops up on all the other games or if the bug is just that it doesn't actually give rewards but that's your issue as well. And others here have confirmed the same problems. TL;DR: if you are playing a game that is on overwolf but not fully supported by Buff, close the bonus window since you're watching ads for zero reason and won't ever get anything for it even though it claims it's rewarding you

So like for my next track, I will wait 30m, then log all data, then open the game, play, when I finish, I wait 30m and update the spreadsheet again

I promise you it isn't matching up, and others have been following that now too and finding the same results...

Here's the data you want to track and how to calculate it for yourself:

Take your current XP, level, and XP needed to level and log this data
Play your game for however long and wait 30m+ after finishing and closing it
Now log a line with your new XP, level, and XP needed to level

If you rolled over levels, you will take XPTNLOld-XPOld to see how much it took to fill the previous level, then add the current XP shown to that

If you didn't roll over levels, you will just take CurrentXP-OldXP = actual gain

Now compare this to what the app claims the entire session paid out

After doing the same logging for Buff points themselves at least those are credited properly (other than the bonus ones for unsupported games, where you will never get any credit for them so it's best to just close the bonus window as soon as you start). But I honestly care more about the XP than the Buff points atm, and that's a horribly broken system, lol

I've tried to reverse engineer the math behind the XP it claims vs what you actually get and I honestly can't figure out where the number it displays comes from. It does look like the games give close to the same amount regardless of what it shows (i.e., whether it shows you earned 100 or 500000 it should still reward the same amount, which in that case would be 100 or less). Which leads to question... is the number it shows supposed to be lower and it just showing a miscalculated number or is it supposed to be crediting more?

(I've done quite a bit of debugging, logging, and tracking to try figuring this out, but without code access I'm limited to the data I can access to figure out where the bug is and how to fix it)

Make sure you keep a log of your XP before and after games, too. You'll see what it doesn't give the right XP (like my last one was supposed to give over 2k and only gave 700, earlier it was supposed to give 700+ and gave just 300, etc.). And add that to your report too. The system is broken and it keeps you from leveling like you should
