I recently installed buff from the Google Playstore on my Samsung Galaxy A31. After having it installed for 15 minutes, my internet connection on all devices started to become faulty, this continued to the point where I could not even connect to my WiFi on my Windows PC. I had only installed buff for Clash Royale but it slowed the wifi so much I couldn't even connect to Supercell servers. After un-installing buff, the internet speed increased dramatically to the regular bandwidth.

Is there a way I can prevent this issue on the client installed on my devices (I do not have it installed on anything a the moment and only had it on my phone), or is this a with Buff servers?

What is the best way to get support? I sent an email earlier today (not sure if that's the best method?). I keep having my "bonus" hang on games even after they're closed and don't get any rewards since the only way to get it to unfreeze is to completely forcefully close BUFF and reopen it. Each time I've lost a few hours of progress. Looks like if I restart games every 1h or so I don't have that issue, it's mostly with extended gaming sessions. But in a lot of cases it's an annoyance to have to keep closing and reopening games

Would mine be considered admin stuff? I'm not sure if that is a known issue. Essentially I don't get ANY points on long sessions since it won't register anything until the bonus is finalized and won't finalize the bonus, causing a loss of all BUFF plus XP on long sessions

Where it says "BUFF Bonus" at the top of the window and shows ads and a message about it staying on top of a second window (I leave it on its own in my second monitor so there's no overlay)

Also tried leaving it for 1h+ after ensuring the game was fully closed and had no processes running and it just kept ticking up time, but as a result, wouldn't ever give rewards

Not every time but most of the time. Fortnite and FFXIV always show it. WoW is hit and miss. GW2 same as WoW (hit and miss)

It shows bonus BUFF (I assumed XP is part of that). But due to the hanging it ends up rewarding nothing at all. BUFF balance stays the same

The reason I brought up the XP is because I also don't get normal rewards when that happens. So I'll run through a game for a few hours and have the exact same XP I started with too (it won't give normal rewards if there's a bonus running and if the bonus hangs and you have to restart the app you lose the progress of both normal and bonus)

afaik there is not bonus of xp, but they might added it recently

also, if the bonus keep running but the game is closed, means that the bonus screen bugged probably

Essentially the normal process is:

1. Close game
2. Buff credits bonus BUFF (XP maybe? IDK)
3. Buff credits normal BUFF/XP

When it hangs, #2 doesn't trigger so #3 doesn't either and the session rewards nothing at all for either XP or BUFF

also its known that long sessions could not give xp, but has to be more than 4-5 hours

the thing is that only 1 of the mentioned games gives points, the other ones only xp

only 1 is a buff supported game, the other ones gives xp only, which are overwolf supported games

Weird, for me it seems to be around 2.5h, and a couple times around 2h mark. I've found if I restart every 1-1.5h it's okay but that kills things like raiding or group sessions since you have to keep telling everyone to wait for you while you restart, and that's an annoyance for all involved

Interesting. TBH I don't care about the BUFF so much as the XP. If I could permanently disable the bonus I would. At least then I could level up properly. As it is the system is hindering my progress, 😦

certainly is a weird issue mainly i didnt hear a bonus screen on non buff supported games, might be a new feature or a bug. Although, i dont know if you have other overwolf plugins on these games, other plugin might make buff not work properly. The bonus itself maybe you can "disable" it by just closing it, but i dont know other way. You can also disable buff on the desired game, but obviously, you wont earn any XP for the BP

Bonus does, normal won't if the bonus one has hung since bonus gets credited before normal rewards (so if the bonus is hanging for some reason the normal rewards won't ever pop up and be credited)

If bonus window is closed even right after I start, and then a long session is played, it still won't credit the main rewards and won't have the popup at the end

Hanging as in:

1. If I closed it early and it hit the point of hanging, nothing would pop up after the game ended since the bonus would still be "active" in the background but not do anything
2. If I left the bonus window up and it hit that point, it would just continually count up time/BUFF rewards endlessly until forcefully closing the Buff app (even opening a new game wouldn't do anything since it would still think the old one was active, running, and still be calculating rewards for it)

Also did some diagnoses on my own analyzing some stuff in case it was a memory leak or something, which it doesn't appear to be (I never go above 23% RAM usage and have 64 GB of RAM, CPU and GPU both stay at 40% or below, and the process appears to be active and updating, just isn't reading that games are closing after they've been open too long)

i mean it wont count if it didnt detect the end of the game, meaning that the app didnt detect when the game was closed and the pop up kept running. Anyways, i do not have any solution to that since its first time that i heard about that issue. So i do recommend waiting for the ticket response
