From what I've saw: if you start a game and don't appear a notification screen that say you will earn xp, it isn't counted.
Surely, to gain exp, Yu-Gi-Oh master duel on Steam work well.

I can say what I do (not sure if can help)
First of things, I've removed autostart when launching Windows: I open directly buff exe when I Need, which open automatically overwolf.
After that, I open the game, I wait that appear popup, wait for loading and when Is completed (appear the X) , I close popup.
For now I've tried only that game on Steam, and tracking worked all times.
