Some games give you less XP i think
I also think XP is measured by the amount of time you play. If you finish games fast you wont get a lot of XP
Buff Points get measured from your performance in match in addition every game played for 5min will give you buff points and xp but if the match takes more time lets say 10min then you will get more points and xp it counts by a timer and how you perform in that match. I had games I won and got almost nothing in buff points and xp sense the game ended fast before it reach 5min to receive the bonus.

Thank you very much for your reply. That makes a lot of things clear to me now. I dislike the Battle Royale mode of Apex so I'm always playing arenas (my matches are rarely drawn out- either my team wins quickly or the opponents do), which explains why I got so little xp. I suppose I'll have to suck it up and start playing Battle royale.

hello everyone i've been having some troubles with buff lately as it would not track any games for about the past week. like any games and i play 3 in League of legends valorant and a bit of fall guys. for a reason i have no idea buff always throws out an error messege and doesn't count the games. the window always launches normally (like the seperate one for the game) but then it doesn't track the game at the end even when it close the programs as a whole. any idea of why this is happening? i've already tryed reinstalling buff but nothing changes
