The double decoder comp is overhated. Deserves concerns and hate? Hell yeah. If they don’t know what they’re doing, you’re cooked most likely (just pray they don’t get found by the hunter)

but if they know what they’re doing (which is rare….) you’re pretty damn good bc you get extra cipher progress no matter who gets first kite, even better if it’s neither of them

I’m biased though, my team and I run double decoder most of the time and we have a solid tie+win rate bc we usually manage to cipher rush the hunter

hello I’m not sure if this is the place to ask but IDV is kind of like my first fandom and I’ve noticed that a lot of people use their favs as their name, which I don’t understand. I understand using it like a username to show others you like them but I don’t really get why people would USE the characters name as their own(?). I’ve seen this in other fandoms as well so I’m just curious. I don’t mean to sound ignorant or anything I just wanna be educated

It can be a lot easier to use the name of a character you love especially if you see yourself as that character or relate to them or simply find the name cute

People use different names online to avoid letting people know their real name. Picking a character that you’re close to as a way to represent your online identity is easy because that name is established and shows that you enjoy that character vs having to come up with something new/unique

i remember trying to think up of a nickname to go as in here bc while i dont mind using my irl name, lots of people ask me how to pronounce it, so i wanted to go with something more simple (though sometimes i also sneak my irl name into my server nicknames when i change it slightly)
i then thought of maybe going with lily bc she's my idv main, and i ended up with lili which is also kind of close to my irl name still

Idt there’s much to say about blink hits besides hit as you blink, do it less predictably, and learn what spots blink will let you go through (thin walls, over pallets, over windows) to minimize risk of blinking into a wall you can’t blink through
