Well the unfortunate part of Identity V's writing is that we connect subconsciously far more with the human experience and the way that people interact with each other and the relationships they build. Identity V's stories don't last long enough for that meaningful development to happen because all of the characters don't know each other. They built the game around the characters being interesting by themselves, but not interesting together in their designated groups (apart from a couple of exceptions).

When developing the character releases they should have built them around the idea of connecting to each other in meaningful ways, rather than most just being randoms.

I think that's a vocal minority. I feel like a lot of global players do not realize 1, how little our playerbase counts towards NE'S income from idv and their server activity, and 2, that many IDV players aren't active on the social platforms where the boycott is most spoken about. For some reason on global, people are unnecessarily rude towards others who do not participate, even just from a lack of knowledge

And reasonably so, I enjoy IDV because of how strongly rooted it was on its artists and its community's work, even used a bit of money on the game under the guise of supporting designs I enjoy a few weeks before the AI issue came to light, it almost felt like a betrayal given that the whole reason I supported the game was for the opposite of that.
