It doesn't really make sense to get the good pets and then activate reso. Like if u got the good pets already then what's the point of activating reso. You either activate reso12 the moment u can or u commit to spice tricking until you get enough spice to hit your next 18/however long you want to wait to feel comfortable escaping powercreep

There basically are 2 diff reason to spice trick. Number one is to accelerate your next 18. That's what you did with seal. The spice trick let u turn all 3 slot of wl into the single pet u want. The second reason is to mitigate powercreep. Spice trick let u make progress towards ur next best 18 target while not committing to the other two wl slots since they're stored as spice instead of copies of a pet that might get powercrept

So that basically informs when u want to activate reso. If ur spice tricking for reason 1, then you want to activate reso the exact moment you can get enough spice to finish ur current 18 target. If you're spice tricking for reason 2, then u just sit at reso9 and farm spice for infinity - thats what royce is doing, although I'm not sure if they're aware what the motivation behind their action is
