Say you’re in 100th place and 1st through 50th place are one division higher than you. You have 49 people you can face who are a higher than you and then a bunch of people lower than you who you can also face, who will boost your winrate.

When you get bumped up to the next division, you can only face the 99 people who have stronger teams than you and you get no freebies from people lower ranked.

in reality you only face about 1/3 of those people because of the different paths

So there may be only like 30 people you can actually face because they’re on the same path as you and they all jumped divisions before you did

I understand your logic, but the winrate is maintained when I’m in the rank 1k-1k8 (which means all top 100 in the same division). Your logic will be true if the case when someone in the rank of 1k8-199x (which some of top 100 already moved to next division)

When you’re in rank 1k-1k8 you can face the people ahead of you, sure, but you can also face the people who are behind you. When you first rank up divisions, you can only face people who are ahead of you. That’s the difference.

Your three team winrates should gradually increase as weaker people fill up your division, until you jump divisions again

Yeah, I get that you want to emphasize on player’s pool at different period of time. But 0% against top 100 does not make sense to me.
For example at this very moment I dropped into top 4% (which means top 4% already move into next division). But I only get about 2 battles win (11% wr totally) at the very moment. It’d make sense to me if my 3rd team wr is 0%, not the first 2

I think Astar is probably better. I'd try it out and see for your region. Raine is pretty situational, I think is probably decent in the middle range against teams without awakened heroes, but seems to me like she falls off in the top 100 and really falls off in the top 20
