Yes, you have to quit and do a new run. There is no other way around as of now. Support did say that they will fix this later on

From what I see from last season in my f2p guild, a lot of my f2p guildmates did not utilize steady preparations beacon + backup heroes + spending diamonds for new rerun to save their 200 weekly rewinds. Almost everyone just ended up using up their 200 rewinds and not be able to reach floor 600

I mostly just got way too lazy pushing often early so my beacon was super low lvl near the end
Only had like high 90s sorc with 70 smth fort and sust to get ~470 ish

Steady preparations beacon gives all of your heroes 50% energy when you start a new run.
My f2p strat after floor 450 in last season was to utilize steady preparation with celerity heroes. I tried to pass floor with as few rewinds as possible. If non of my essential heroes die in a fight, I will progress to the next fight. Then on new floor, I can just use my backup heroes to fill in the spot. And then just repeat the steps until all of my backup heroes are dead and I can't progress anymore. this is when I would quit my current run and start a new run capitalizing on steady preparations beacon again. Rinse and repeat and you will reach floor with a lot of rewind left. Best thing is you can spend 500 diamonds to buy 5 new reruns making this strat. very viable.

A lot of my f2p friends were afraid of quitting and starting new run because they thought that would waste their unused hero resurrections and their recruited heroes. Every just ended up hard stuck on a floor and wasting all of their retries on a single floor lol

Everyone just ended up spending the same amount of time. Think about it. Spending 10 min a week vs spending 5 min a week + the whole day figuring out how to beat rift.
