Engraving reset has been requested since 2021, and has had enough upvotes to reach #classic-upvoted 39 times, which requires 35 upvotes each. I've heard there was once an event for a short time to reset an engraving, but why can't we just have a permanent reset system that costs gems. By making it cost gems you'll probably get some more money while we get a bit more freedom to build our characters how we want and be able to test things without the worry of making a massive error. And while on the topic of engraving reset, the same system could be implemented for Signature items. If the reason this hasn't been implemented is due to giving too much freedom then you could make it so resetting only gives back, say, 90% of the resources. That way the people who made poor choices can sacrifice some materials to be able to improve their hero, or people who levelled signatures/engraved characters they never plan on using can then use what they get back on a far more beneficial hero.

review current rewards for the older systems: Regal Rewards and Misty Valley for example still give Rare Soulstones (blue shards), which become more and more useless for an increasing part of the community. Next to that, in the existing rewards (think of Misty Valley) we got more options, but not more rewards. So per currency we are getting less than before. Where before we only had to choose between poe coin (furniture) and red emblems (+30), we now also have to get engraving materials and food from the same number of boxes. In order words, there is a large inflation and some old outdated reward systems, which should be compensated/ adjusted. (Just like governments adjust for inflation)

Why do new members fail to find the pinned survival guide in the questions channel?

This probably is most relevant on discord mobile since the lack of a bigger preview of pinned messages content. Since AFK Arena is a mobile game, it makes sense considering that.

In # questions pinned posts the one with the most vital info are two images. When I started playing and first joined here, I kept reading on faq-resources etc to read the pinned guide on questions channel. But since it was an image it just showed that it was an attachment, it took me a while to actually click it and see that it was the guide.

Recently it was edited to instruct turning off mentions when replying, but this doesn't really say what it is.

TL;DR Change the new players guide pinned post in questions channel top text to actually say that it is the Noob's Survival Guide. I'd even add something like (start here) to make it more visible.

Add the AFKit Discord Bot to this server. It's a useful tool for both helpers and the helped to use, and commands can be used to only respond to the sender of the command, this reduces space but provides results to their inquiry.
At the moment it's going through a big rework, and every benchmark is getting updated with more details, and every advised investment we recommend in #classic-questions will be on the bot.
It would be much faster and much easier if instead of needing to ask in the help channels, someone could just go to the bots channel and find the benchmark there, or if someone else could just use it and send the benchmark to the person they're helping. It saves us switching servers and spamming images in the help channels all for 1 person and clogging the chat.

Rather than having Slowmode, No External Emojis and No Reactions in the help channels at least remove 1 of them. For helpers without the Community Supporter role they have to wait 10 seconds between every message, and can't react or use any external emojis at all. I use hero icon emojis, along with collections related emojis and resource/investment related emojis because I'm CS....but people who aren't CS (which is majority of the server) simply can't. They have to type out a 200 character monologue for someone's hero investments that would fit into ⅙ of the space with emojis. They can't answer people quickly one after another, and they can't even react to bypass the slowmode (when questions can be answered by a single word). How come #classic-chat doesn't have slowmode but #classic-questions does? Doesn't that deincentivise using it?

When getting help, a progression role is not going to really give all that much useful insight into how best to assist players, not actually avoiding the need to ask for additional info such as their current hero ascension progress, levels, etc, so the benefit is minimal outside of a simple showcase. And grouping progress to constrain the system to 10-15 roles max only introduces unnecessary complexity, inaccuracy, and disappointment for those who wish to showcase exactly which chapter they're at. In the end, maintaining the status quo is for the best.

We do not have the emoji space to accommodate a fair portion of item icons, however I do feel like we're currently have something in the plans that should help accommodate the core issue: The want for visual representation of items in-game when helping others, either in replies or as informative guide posts.

Community Supporters were given allowances a few weeks ago to use external emoji and bypass line limits in #classic-questions, so you could write something up and request either one of the CS or a Mod who have nitro (me included) to repost it for you with the relevant emojis from elsewhere.

There'll be features in Dolly, our summon bot, introduced later down the line that'll also help accommodate these issues. We cannot allow editing due to a number of reasons, but the main one being abuse of the ability. People could end up voting on something that gets replaced later for a suggestion that's totally different to what they thought they were voting on if someone bait & switches. In the future though, we'll look into seeing if we can support deleting own suggestions. At this time, I'm unable to see a good enough reason to add a new channel for any and all bot commands to be spammed in. We have only a few bot commands that are for members to use, and those are covered by #levelup-channel and #553558266798669824 for the most part, with help tags being exclusively for help channels also, not for spamming, and are able to be searched in the channel history easily enough.

Because of Discord's search functionality being pretty poor, searching things like "32-12" won't actually limit results to only those stages, making the entire premise unfortunately moot. We really wished there was a way to do exact searching on Discord though, and if it ever changes in the future, we may revisit this to consider it again.

The channel is for sharing teams which shouldn't have a place there, if anything it should be the "Game Information" category. But it is a social event, so instead things like this should have an "Events" category, or perhaps utilize threads.

But either way, I don't want random channels to appear in that category which should be centered around news.

#935791791075115038 is where it is as that's the location we always put these no-discussion event channels, such as our roles events in the past. This is primarily for visibility, but also it's because it's the most suitable location. You stated we should have an event category, but there's no exclusive event category as most event posts and channels quite easily fits within the scope of information related to the game or our community. Having channels appear and disappear is normal for a Discord community, and will be something you'll just have to live with.

If you wanted to add a suggestion regarding adjusting the channel name or the position of the channel separate to this, feel free to make it, but that discussion is on the list to be talked about sometime in future anyway. Due to time constraints, reprioritisation of other tasks and recently us wanting to wait a little for a specific new Discord feature to be rolled out that should aid in this task, it may be just a little bit longer before it's implemented. The codes we're able to share here in the discord are all posted in #classic-updates, with each code having their expiry posted alongside it. Occasionally, there'll be a code that's exclusive for another platform, community or promotion that is only meant to be officially published in the place it's meant to be in, and so you'll need to keep an eye out for those yourself, either by following AFK Arena's other socials also, or by keeping an ear out when the other members in our community find a new one to share. Adding a new Language channel requires one to demonstrate there's enough demand in the community for it to get regular use as well as having a trusted member available and willing to help moderate that language chat and act as a mediator between users in the channel and our community staff. Hi there, I'd love to be able to do this in a simple manner through things like aliases, but the tag system we have currently is very much manually managed. I just left this server that honestly was just awful but it had one interesting thing about it: a theorycraft channel. Its entire premise was "If (character) was in this game, how would they function?". People would put in any character, or themselves in some cases, and make legit moveset ideas for them. It was entirely for fun and not at all serious, but I was wondering if that would be something that could happen here. It was just fun for me and a lot of people, and I thought some here might like it too.

Also yes, I did make theorycrafts for about half the characters in AFK Arena.
