i have many headcanons regarding the hypogeans that make them less evil and more morally gray, and ultimately i consider the graveborn to be hypogeans but Worse mechanically speaking
(i.e. both gb and hypos are beings of death that by all means shouldnt exist but the former is unable to eat, sleep, or die under normal circumstances and will decay over time)

Ezizh and gouldos are 2 different entities. Gouldos is most likely to be originated from the dark star realm, so i don't think your theory is very plausible. He was probably summoned onto esperia by some powerful mage in that dark ancient era which was stated on one of the chapter on the world map

It's just especially noticeable in Talene's case because she doesn't even have that going for her anymore; she dropped out of her high spot faster than the other Obsidian Finches after Framton was through with them.
...That said, after actually watching the video, it actually makes in-story sense.
We've already seen her dream in action, after all.

Basically, Talene has nightmares about all of Esperia being set ablaze in an inferno due to Framton — more than what he's capable of at the present time. Ezizh sees it and comes up with a plan to erode the barrier between dream and reality even further than he already has by using this nightmare as a focus, so that Esperia will actually go down in flames.

So the backstory is, that there was a wilder tribe that dwelled under water. the tribe worshipped celetial water dragons that lived in the oceans. But when Khazard went hypogean he killed all of them because that's too many celestials for one ocean. She is a shrine maiden for the dragon shrine and keeper of the lore and rituals used for worship of the dragons. While most of the water tribe has abandoned all hope after the dragocide, she firmly keeps on believing that the water dragons will someday return. also forshadowing another character i'm currently working on

I made mine with a specific gameplay purpose in mind, and tried to make formations as a thought experiment (as well as adjusted her moveset for engravings). Pretty sure I still didn't know what I was doing though

Sounds to me like Fuma and Sulz/Mirian might be fantastic in a comp together (along with Grezhul), since Fuma's kind of a kamikaze fighter.
(Also I had a dream last night that Skreg was my pet. He probably wouldn't be too happy with that in character.

What if (good) graveborns that wish to be alive/look as when they were alive sometimes can have a disguese that makes them looks as when they were alive?
I had and idea the other day with the recently Baden skin and made me emotional thinking how Thane and Estrilda would react
Maybe it feels like looking like a ghost but-
Also this disguese is not perfect, if in global doesn't change, in test, he shares the same voice with both versions so the voice will be the same as their undead one

This makes me wonder though. If Thane were to successfully awaken Baden's consciousness, there's no way he'd been able to live freely in a lightbearer society right? At least not with the church of light being so harsh on any sort of connection to the dark arts and graveborn in general. So would they hide him in the rayne manor, or would Baden have to go live somewhere else? Thinking about it is making me sad ngl

Literally this. Like why can't Silvina be with her sister in the tavern? Saveas is part of the vurk and numisu motley crew. Vedan is one of the major reasons Ranhorn is such a sh*tty place to live in. Golus is also the rival between tidus and warek. Arden... maybe I can understand why he wouldn't be ascended tier because of his age, but he still taught and nurtured multiple ascended tier Wilders and there are other old characters that are ascended.

It's plausible there are cosmetics for Graveborns -- we already know there's at least a market for embalming oil for them.
Though they probably take a lot of skill to apply and don't last all that long.

tbf he's always been depicted as something without form trying to replicate that of annih's power
