Well that consistency is just your assumption tho, the core design of maulers is just [human + beast]. The fact that lilith has been trying to play safe by giving all females pretty faces actually annoys a lot of us.
And you can see at least golus has human face since he's a centaur (similar to safiya the sphynx) and anoki has a very humanoid face so the assumption that all males are beast like is false :safiyasmile:

However, what bothers me is that all of the other celestial heroes have very clear background, but for alna, we have to do the guessing game.

Also as for how alna and other god being demoted to demigod, it is because of the plummet of Sanctum, home of the celestial, onto the ground.

I find it weird that they only imply Warek was the strongest opponent Tidus ever faced, yet don't acknowledge him by name.

Meanwhile with Warek himself, his story was that he was fighting all his life as a means to cope with his entire Bear clan being overthrown and used for slave labor, no mention of Tidus at all.

One's a bloodthirsty warrior who treats battles as a passion as his brain snapped, the other treats it like a viable job away from his lowly ranks because he snapped when he was younger.

And yet in-lore, they're the strongest ones to fight in The Pits.

TLDR: I'm annoyed they don't have a Union together yet, one as The Immovable Object, the other as the Unstoppable Force

I'm aware. Gladiators tend to actually just accentuate fighting over all else. Not out of fight or flight, but out of sheer adrenaline and "fun".

It just happens to be that Tidus emits some joy out of doing his deeds, and it's kind of neat.
The way Warek handled it, as his own gladiator self no less, made it seem like Tidus finally had to train harder just to land an actual punch to Warek

The first time they fought, Tidus literally ran out of energy to land any of his sharper blows.
It got so bad, he was breathless when the match was drawing to a close, as Warek was plenty full of energy to keep on fighting.

I hear sometimes Brutus attends these hideous combats, mostly because it's exciting to witness warriors fighting for the sake of it.

It's not that I demean Brutus, it's just that compared to Pit Fighters, he seems far more reserved in drawing his blades for death.

...Yet he himself enjoys basically Colosseum-level matches.

Unlike whats probably going on with The Guardian's story, this guy was made to be a Paladin in a Golem's body. The problem is the spell got corrupted so the Paladin's soul is just floating while the Void Entity just filled out the rest of it.

He was meant to kill Oryx, but instead is built to kill the rest of the Realm.

Just like how Graveborns are most times reawakened in a more corrupt state than before.
Baden fighting his zombie urges, Thoran being brain-dead long enough that he forgot himself, and I think Niru forgot he had a family when he revived.

• Zaphrael/Lucretia: One of the strongest backstories.
• Pippa: Bestest bby. One of my favorite heroes in the entire game.
• Silas: I got a chuckle out of how crazy he was to be THAT prepared, but not much memorable about him.
• Mortas: Didn't land with me, but I'm holding out until heroes with connections to him expand on what his deal is a bit.
• Ainz/Albedo: Got me interested enough to check out the show, at least.
• The Frozen Mother---ker: I don't think I've ever actually read her lore, come to think of it.
• Joker/Makoto: Disappointing. I think the game assumes everyone is already intimately familiar with Persona 5, and even then, they're just kinda there.
• Kren: The weakest of the durri, but a durri nevertheless, and as more of him shows up, he is getting a bit more likable.
• Elucard: His story is pretty much exactly the same as Cecilia's.
• Frickin Leo: My only reaction to him is "why is he here?" Though like Mortas, he'll probably get more interesting as connections build.
• Peggy: Way more likable than I expected.
• Raku: Wasn't expecting him to be out-rascalled by Peggy. Overall, I like him.
• The Hero Formerly Known As Prince: I appreciate that they tied his story into what was already established. They need to do that with more dimensionals.
• Desira: Her design doesn't do it for me, but her backstory got my attention.
• Walker:

@undone umbra nope. Rowan's father was murdered while having tea with the financial minister, so i guess it's the work of some unknown noble man. The closest wild thing that we might draw a connection is that Oscar killed rowan's father, but that is unlikely to happen.
