No, I think its a mistake due to the fact the kanji/hanzi refers to "both sides faving troublesome fathers" - which is more in line with Satrana.

Satrana and Tidus' fathers are both deserters and dead and caused problems for the two heroes.

Also the hanji used for death is the same with Nara's relationship with Gorvo. So it can be assumed it means Dead or Killed.

so I, with the help of @broken citrus , have come up with a Hyena (called Yaedi) society mauler HC. It's still only a concept and I may change it in near future so suggestions are really helpful 👀

In the Scorched Expanse, near the Howling Wastes, lies the oases occupied by the Yaedi tribes.

It's a society that follows matriarchy and their society are strictly hierachical, one has to make extra effort and prove themselves in battle to climb up the rank . But even at the same rank, the female ones will always be more regarded than the male. It doesn't mean a low-ranking male Yaedi is easy to pick on though. Because they are known for valiant warriors even when facing mortal danger.

The Yaedi are highly territorial, those who tresspass their land rarely survive to tell the tale. But outsiders could obtain their permission to trade with them.

There's no king in the tribes. The only leader is the Queen, the most regarded and respected person in the entire clan. Only the wisest and strongest female Yaedi can be chosen as the leader. So the Queen is considered to be the strongest and deadliest warrior amongst the tribe. The Queen status is not inheritable, even if she has children, they have to join the Ceremony, which occurs every 7 years, if they want to become the Queen. Even the Queen has to hone her fighting skill if she wants keep her throne. If the Queen passes away before the ceremony happens, the throne will be given to the most respected female Yaedi.

The Yaedi values both strength and wisdom. They're splitted into two houses. The House of Valiance and the Sanctuary. One for warriors, and the other for those who seek the ancient knowledge of voodoo and arcane power.

The Yaedi do not praise the celestials and hypogene but they do praise both Annih and Dura. Even though the Lightbearers were the ones who created the original Ya people. But it was Annih who tricked the Lightbearers to give them life, appearance and strength. After the Ya was expelled from the land of Lightbearers, Annih, once again, appeared and guided them to the burning wasteland. He then told them that if they want to become stronger, they must endure the harsh environment and face death with honor, hence the Mauler's totem: Bloody Will. Dura after witnessing the sins the Lbs have commited to the Ya, she could not turn a blind and. She felt a great deal of responsibility to the Ya, so she gave them the water of life (oases), saving countless lives of their ancestors.

Those who dare defile the tribe and tradition are exiled and left a mark on their back. A mark of shame and dishonor. They are free to go anywhere but they are not allowed to return to any Yaedi tribes, else they will face an execution.

The second doc is the origins of lb and wilder which are missing in the eng version as we only have the eng version of origins of maulers and gb

I recomend read through the second one if you are not familiar with the timeline as how each faction comes to existence

@dark heath one thing to note about mortas lore is that it took place like more than a thousand years ago, so only a few characters are related to the current setting.

Yes, in the game he's a parkour warrior... which means there's a lot of platforming... which means there's a lot of times you're going to fail. The hourglass that he carries allows him to return back to the moment right before he dies. And it can be used, varying between games, around 5 times.
