Zaph and luc union lore also mentions Ancelot is the founding emperor of lb empire. That's why I believe the lightbearer faction was formed much later than the mauler and wilder.

Uhh Skriath is an earth mage and Numisu is a voodoo healer, shields are pretty rare to them but not taboo
Magic wise they stay closer to nature than the arcane, and beyond the symbol they wear that I'd have to find again, mainly just remember they live in sunblasted plateaus and Savannahs iirc
So aside from morons like Vurk they tend to wear heat mitigating loose clothing, or the scandalous crop top
Possible entry points for an oc could be like their tribal style military that's heavily clan based on species, or Skriath's "royal" guard, or the gladiator arena where Warek and Tidus are beating the tar out of each other.

Mauler magic is fire, wind and earth related at best. Then you have voodoo which is ‘primitive’ according to JP lore so spiritual faith magic. The rest is esoteric medicine and rituals
Weapon wise it’s either crude or stolen from the lb and repurposed (which I assume is the cannons and the like which Kren has)
Or something gifted from the Hypogeans in the first war when some maulers joined the hypo forces

Antandra is one of the more responsible and resolved characters in the Esperian lore. I doubt she'd have gone home to family and risk their livelihood. Remember, a turn-coat will send your entire family in to slavery. Exile is closer to that so it's safe to assume the family won't be exempt if they're caught helping their exiled loved one.
She knew what the consequences of her actions were and still stood for what she believed was right.
I assume her current attire is the remnants of her Temple Guard outfit that she had worn before being cast out (in tatters as the fight was described a very fast and bloody exchange of blows)
