Well the HC I have is

Skreg and Vurk are nest-brothers alongside an unspecified number of other Durri children. And their parents (a number of couples taking care of each nest) went out to scavenge but fell prey to Arachin traps. With a sudden shortage of food being brought in, Skreg, the oldest, had to take up a scavenging position. He ended up giving most of his own supply of food to Vurk and the others - which ultimately stunted his growth and why he's so short.

Vurk later would go out to prove that his own people doesn't have to live in fear and completed his mission. And to find a way to repay Skreg and the others. He left the Durri tribe to go see the greater world. Skreg would follow after to support his brash sibling.

My headcanon is that Joker took advantage of his invitation to SSB and how that world's basically a door to everywhere else, and he took the chance to investigate other worlds in search of the treasures they might hold.

There is another crossover chain already connecting them, so it's not impossible for him to have stumbled into Esperia if he hopped through rifts at random.

I don't know why they do that. Sometimes, the lores between the en and cn version only missing a few details which you can merge them together to make it complete. Some lores, however, are just entirely different
