The thing is that every faction has good and bad characters, so to say.
There are now more Hypos who aren't really evil and are just doing their own thing and yeah, lots of Celestial gods suck lol.

There isn't really a set storyline, you can still just read character stories you're interested in and that's it.
They occasionally do more fleshed out storylines, especially with awakeneds - the latest was with Gavus and Eugene, the new awakened Celestial and Hypo, who both left their factions because of the kiddos they essentially adopted, Lucilla and Liberta. Hypos and Celestials both suck in that storyline and wanted to use those children as weapons of war, but those two found them.

Ah ok, that's the one that had me thinking they were starting a new overall storyline lol. Definitely like giving Hypos/Celestials more nuance beyond "these are good, these are bad"

Their story is in their 4 character stories, the book in the library, and in a 9 chapter long comic.

There was also a VoW that was a continuation of the comic, but it's not really essential to understand the story - it was about Eugene and the kids getting Gavus out of the Celestial prison he was put in for the entire ordeal.

Aside from that, there was also a Midwinter festival with the four of them hosting it, but that was really just some fun tidbits, nothing specific - Liberta and Lucilla traveled across Esperia to send out invitations.

Both can be found on youtube in any case.

The cube, down center, remarkably resembles the make of Eugene's cube/sig item I thought - it's ancient golemn tech, from the Vaduso Mountains which is part of the area surrounding the Dark Forest and where there is major amounts of ancient ruins laying all about from the ages long past. nothing particular to say about it beyond that at this time, just thought it was cool/interesting. noticed it a couple weeks ago, the similarities, but been forgetting to post about it here~

Personally I wouldn't consider afk2 lore to be official for the afk1 lore, as there's so many inconsistencies between the two. But! If you're generous in your interpretation with this particular lore piece, it makes for a good headcanon!

Yeah that makes sense. With how bad Lilith sometimes is at keeping the lore consistent in AFK1 alone, bringing AFK2 into the mix would jumble that up even more.

I make most of my Voyage of Wonder runs with a team of the family plus uncle Lavatune. 😂

And yes, Kadrin would definitely replace Lavatune, should we ever get him.

I also reveled in how one of the viable comps for the 4 hero Morgana kill in Nightmare Corridor was ALMOST entirely the Forbidden Family.
