The text put emphasis on 'mortal', but then again taking that to the letter doesn't really work since Baden by definition isn't mortal anymore. Iirc there wasn't a precedent for mortals obtaining the emblem, so I'm pretty sure there's none for immortal beings taking an emblem

I think the emphasis on mortal in-text was likely not like, intentionally excluding GB. So as I interpret authorial intent, they did mean non-deities/hypos. Perhaps they use different characters in chinese for this. But if we're gonna over-analyze that then they don't like, explicitly say that emblems won't awaken celestial/hypos, they just say that "this will happen if a mortal takes it". So at the end of the day they got enough wiggle-room to do something like that with celestial or hypos, since technically yada-yada

also im starting to think hypos and celstials cannot connect to the elements as they are already deity like. They aren't regular beings, they can evolve such as talene dying and being reborn. And Ezizh becomming thicc but as for a connection to the elements i dont see the fire rune seeking them out.
Now a probability of a hypo killing the fire guardian could be possibly but the fire rune wouldnt reveal itself i dont believe
And this is also a long shot.....the current vow name....being purify flame....now i know that might just refrence using explosives to burn hypos alive....but it could mean something deeper as in IF a hypo were to get ahold of the fire rune.....it could possible purify the evil or the spirit.....but thats a theory of my own

Honestly, "purifying fire" being a nod towards something to do with the fire emblem/guardian/awakened isn't too far fetched. About it 'purifying' though, that's used several times through the lore and it's always about, well, completely eradicating the hypo
The lore seems to have heavy emphasis on hypos being a sort of "filth" that is "cleansed" by holy powers and all that jazz
So if we do get a "purifying fire", it's likely only that it has the power to eradicate said "filth" and whatnot

I believe it's because those emblems aren't really sought after, except by corruptors. I think this is a sort of moment where what we're told doesn't quite match what we're shown. We're told these emblems are a huge risk and burden to those who choose to bear it, but all we really see are character after character taking the emblem and gaining awesome new powers

I think the closest we've had to the chpt 1 Kane boss battle is the Gouldos event. If they do a boss battle related to campaign in the future then it's likely to be of that kind
