It also would add layers to the thane/baden GB/LB bridge thing, in that aw baden might be a emissary between the living and the dead as is @proper jasper 's brainchild

Does anyone know if the 5 basic element system in AFK universe is inspired by any culture? I'm pretty familiar with the 5 basic elements in Chinese culture. In Chinese philosophy, the 5 elements are fire, water, wood, metal and earth while in afk universe they are fire, water, wood, wind. I would love to know how the affinity and enmity relationship between the wind element with other elements. Anyone?

I do think Wind could be a reference to traditional Chinese medicine which I'm lightly familiar with, as Wind can cause illness and needs to be kept in balance which goes well with the theme of equilibrium and balance in the elemental event

Which balance is also the basis of traditional Chinese medicine and Taoism which is referenced in the lore

Cause when Wind causes problems its usually something that strikes and leaves quickly, like a sudden painful migraine, so that could be a nod to how Thane fights in sharp swift bursts

Idk if that makes sense but that's all I can really come up with

One explanation I can think of is that Baden had no idea where they were. He needed a guardian and he took the first one he found

My friend and I once discussed the fact that perhaps Seirus is not so actively involved in the story and is probably part of the imbalance at all because he was born when the previous water guardian (Khazard) was technically still alive. New elementals are born when the old ones die, but we technically have two water elementals now (even if one of them are demon rn), which is already out of balance.

The birth of a new elemental while the old one was still alive may have made Seirus not fully complete? Maybe that's why the water emblem was in the fountain and not with him, because Esperia's nature doesn't see him as a full-fledged elemental?

Plus othros and zolrath can only change a mortal's destiny. They can't change the fate of higher beings, for example Dura. Awakened orthros and zolrath can fix that maybe
