Brutus is only really good at Lv.141 (coz it extends his duration from 4 to 7 seconds) but in some difficult situations even 4s of invincibility is better than other tanks, i suppose
and his roar debuff could help tilt it towards a clear too

Also, I cleared the stage with the setup I had, just had to change some gear.

@upbeat fossil I put Oden there because I wanted to see who he teleported. He drops Silvina onto Grezhul I think. Whatever the case it makes it so that 3 people are in front of Thoran when he dies - I gave Thoran the weakest gear so he can die faster. When Thoran revives he stuns 3 people at once, buying massive time for Daimon, and he managed to target and kill Isabelle that time.

Thats the thing, u cant "match" even if u afk for months. For early, maybe u can tank a hit or two. Later in the game, your hero literally dies in 1 hit if u cant dodge/immune/invulnerable

I'm a few stages away from getting my first Brutus cause the game won't give him to me even tho he's one of the staple units to get through Campaign, I knew I should have ignored everyone and traded for one during Lost Sigils

u shouldnt be aiming to be equal to the enemy power, our heroes win without needing to be near their power, that's why i mentioned the 50~70% gauge
and no u shouldnt have taken a Brutus from events
either change your expectations to realise that most beginners get stuck around 60% early game, or play long enough to be better and hit <50%
(this gauge doesn't apply to mid or late game as the power deficit increases naturally)

your desperation to progress will be your downfall in the long run if u start making decisions like that just to clear 1 stage

What happens if I get lucky is that Daimon eventually kills everyone except Kaz and Ira. They both dodge absolutely everything, Ira Ults and one-shots Daimon

That's why I've been saying dodging is unfair, cause it's so insanely RNG and it takes like 1 out of 20 tries to get Daimon into that situation and I really need a retry macro

u should be levelling and ascending fodder as explained in the guides in my pinned message in #classic-questions
for now, reset all 5 of your heroes then level these 5 heroes equally - Niru Mirael Ira Lucius Oden. this is TEMPORARY, the exact fodder heroes that u should be levelling and ascending are explained in the guides. anyway, after levelling Niru Mirael Ira Lucius Oden equally u should find them to be at around Lv.110

the reason for levelling them equally is because u have Daimon carry and he's very strong. the exact steps for levelling if u have Daimon carry are explained in my early game guide but you'll need time to ascend the exact fodder heroes so remember to work towards those exact fodder heroes

take out the following from your RC slots - Lucius, Antandra, Wu Kong, both Ira, Khasos, Numisu, Ulmus, Gwyneth, Solise, Saurus
put in the following - Daimon, Brutus, Rosaline

you're gonna have to wait for the RC slot cooldowns to finish in 24h

when you're done, for that stage you're on, use
Oden

Lucius/Brutus (test it for yourself whichever tank survives longer)
Rosaline (following Daimon)
Daimon
Fawkes

My Frmaton and Oden were L, but the rest were E or E+

It also took ~10 tries to get good RNG. The key was Oden CCing an enemy tank next to Framtom to AOE CC

Just do 30 levels at a time. Also engraving heroes is by far the most expensive mechanic in the game and takes ages for 1 hero so you really shouldn't just slap engraves on random heroes.

That is just 5 levels which is no big deal, also first 30 levels use shards which are a little less valuable. You want to be especially careful after level 30 because then it will start costing elemental cores.

I don't remember how many retries but it's likely a little less than 100

@cerulean atlas Not sure, since it was such a long time ago since I beat it. My best guess would be that your Eironn gets killed before pulling- if that's the case you will have to get better gear on him or simply retry the stage until he dodges at the start.

@cerulean atlas If it helps at all, I believe my gear at the time was completely maxed out (T2, 5*) on everyone in the picture. Looks like my Lyca survived and did a lot of damage, maybe gear on her is important to keep Nara busy

in early game, tanks go in the frontline. Hogan, Golus, Thoran are tanks. im not really sure when Thoran starts performing better as a tank compared to the other 2 though, gotta try this for yourself maybe in CH11+ coz i haven't experimented with that
if u get a Daimon he can also tank and carry early game, he's a better carry than Mirael. details are in my pinned guide in #classic-questions (read my pinned msg there and read the 3 guides)

athalia is just nara on steroids with daimon you can reach c30 easily

especially when ur daimon is 203 pair along eirron lyca fereal si30 rowan c20-30 is a piece of cake

For now since you already invested so heavily on her, sure she can work in the team. Usually though a Daimon team with Brutus-Grez-Ferael-Rowan-Daimon would make more sense with your inventory. I think you might need more Ferael investment for that.

Yeah Luc is pretty bad. You can try something like

Oden
Thoran
Mirael
Rowan
Rosa or any CC hero.

You could put ferael on your rc for that CC if you get an opening. Rowan doesn't really need to live, cart stays after death so he does just fine in front

Grace on Hogan, Call on Mirael (if no Call, use Eye), Drape on Golus
