Try to avoid putting so many heroes to legendary, they get stuck there. Go to L+ or leave them E+

The daimon team cleared a bunch of stages but when it didn’t work out I tried with mira and managed to clear a few more after. Maybe cause she’s higher level and L

I mixed it around with heroes I had available to see which would work but so far no fixed team yet

iirc Thoran and Hendrick frontline, Daimon, Rowan, and Rosaline backline (Rosaline followed Rowan or Daimon, I think it was Rowan for more ults/stuns)

Yea there’s your problem. Everytime someone tells me the lone Daimon carry doesn’t work and I probe, it’s because they did something wrong

In this case Daimon should be on the frontline by default

There are a minority of early game stages where Daimon cannot survive frontline but most of the time he can, given proper support especially healing and cc
This allows Daimon to fulfil the role of both carry and tank, saving you 1 slot for a support

It’s been like a minute since I posted that, you haven’t had time to swap gear and stuff or even tried the combination of heroes in the first line

There are like 4 options and 10 retries each will definitely take you more than a minute that’s how I know you haven’t tried

Ah - my Oden/Tasi/Lyca aren't on my RC right now, I've got slots for them to swap in in 24 hours. I swapped around the other gear and artifacts, and ran with Arden thrice and it didn't work
Didn't realize that it usually takes 10 retries

Take out Izold and Respen, they’re not good early game, I didn’t mention them in my guide so they shouldn’t be on there

Once he’s Lv.221 and has +20 then he’s a very strong support
Right now he’s not, only use is his initial stun which I mention the level req in my guide

Last question for now: is there a reason Rosa is further from Daimon?

Daimon is more likely to survive than the other tank, Rosa moves all the way to behind Daimon so she won't be left vulnerable when the other tank dies
same reason why i hide the other support behind Daimon, coz they can't move
but ideally i would have Nara in that spot because in this case Isabella is a very strong enemy and a Nara will make it easier

@upbeat fossil Yes, but he really needs either Arden's Shield or Mirael's to survive for long - he lasts like 20 seconds at best? 30 if he's lucky. I gotta retry to make sure he doesn't get Crit too many times. Mirael for some reason seems to have a really slow energy buildup on this particular fight.

Are there any of my units that could go in RC to help in this fight? (Very close to 12-40 which is the point where I'll get my 4th Daimon copy)

btw, idk why you're using both Mirael and Daimon. in my guide i say to only use 1 carry, in your case it's Daimon. reset Mirael, get everyone to Lv.140, then get Arden to Lv.141 and Golus to Lv.141 and above too if possible

@upbeat fossil A problem I'm seeing right now is that yes, the team's surviving a lot better, but also there's not enough damage. Silas also keeps wasting(?) Ult on Nara and I don't think I can reliably get him to give the immune to Daimon? Also for some reason the enemy's healing a lot before they die and I don't know where it's coming from. I'm guessing that's just Daimon giving health back to them

Only Dark Nemora meta is stable. The remaining 4 depend on your TR floor, so just check your Leaderboard.
For Dark Nemora, if you had to choose between a 300 and a 203 Shemira merc, choose the 203 Shemira; her 3/9 does more than the jump from +20 to +30.

Thoran - 9 reduces RNG; I advocate going for early event 5* Call frags (after Rowan and 2 carries' +30s). If you're willing to put up with more retries, then stop at 3.
Alna - 9 deserves red cards but the problem is that she's usually the second celepog for beginners (Lucretia is usually first to be done). This means you'll only get her to Ascended after about 1 year of playing, hence her "low" priority.
If you eventually gain an interest in competitive AE (Top 100 ranks) and/or PVP, ask other people for recommendations. This guide does not focus on those.

The idea is to maintain Daimon at the highest level possible. If you have 1 copy, you have to put him in the RC to get him over lvl 100. Same idea applies to higher tier versions. Pushing him to 100 as a carry before your other heroes get to 100 gets you maximum progression, and then once your RC lvl is above what your Daimon can reach naturally, reset him and put him in RC

Ok so 1st team: Arthur-Albedo-Ainz-Merlin then use either Desira or Ezio, either could work, you can test both.

2nd team is god comp. Lucretia-Twins-Ezizh-Rowan and then for last hero popular options are Eluard-Skreg-Tasi. With your investment most likely Tasi, could be Mehira on offense sometimes too.

Last comp has options such as Graveborn, stall and burst. I would go GB with Grez-Daimon-Ferael-Silas-Oden. Ideally you would have Alna instead of Daimon and Athalia instead of Oden.

If you decide to go burst for 3rd comp you want to use Eironn-Estrilda-Lyca-Gwyneth-Lorsan. This version of the comp is outdated and not that strong right now, but it is the best you can make with what you got imo.

If you go stall for 3rd you can use it to beat burst comps. For you I think it would look like: Thoran-Talene-Flora and then fill last 2 slots with options like Kelthur, Ferael, Theowyn, Ezio or even Wukong.

Observation: Everyone dies so quick it's hard to tell what's going on. Except Golus who gets to flail around in Silas' heal for a few seconds longer before the same result as the first comp. Is it cause everyone else is so far behind Daimon in terms of power and they're just dead weight?

Nara's getting killed by Isabelle in about 2-3 shots. It might be mathematically impossible currently for Nara to duel her for any amount of time

Since Estrilda knocks Daimon back with her charge, it gives Mirael free reign to rail on Arden before he can do anything

So if Morrow Cocoons either Isabelle or Grezhul, the bottom half lasts a little longer but Daimon gets dunked on by Mirael and Estrilda.
If Morrow Cocoons Mirael, the bottom half pretty much instantly loses because Golus dies almost instantly, leaving Grezhul to just smack him.

For Oden, he dumps Estrilda onto Grezhul, Golus gets completely melted having to essentially 1v4. Oden lasts the longest aside from Daimon but he doesn't really do anything to anyone. And I've started to notice Daemon's been losing to Mirael 1v1? That's not a good sign

Golus definitely lasts longer than Hogan probably because of Factional Disadvantage vs 2 GBs

i went to check afkhelper, the lowest clear uses 141 Daimon but you're missing Gorvo and Silas ascensions, which i dont recommend getting any 4-skill hero to L+ early game (2 exceptions: Daimon and Rowan, explained in my pinned guide in #classic-questions) even if it helps clear 1 stage. reason being there are so many stages, if u start ascending this and that to L+ for 1 stage, you're gonna mess up your account by locking fodder into those L+ heroes instead of potential heroes that u might get 8 copies of to break the RC with 5A

if u check the other low power clears, if they use Daimon carry they put him frontline at the #1 position, which is what i found after our experiments too
if u cant clear it dont be frustrated by it, getting below 55% power in early chapters is already very good for a beginner, just chill and afk for more levels on Daimon

yea. just take the power rating as a rough gauge of whether something is possible to clear (for earlier chapters, maybe up till CH16? not sure exactly when this power rating gauge starts to become inaccurate). 60% is possible, 55% starts to get hard, 50% requires either certain heroes at certain ascensions, or a lot of retries
dont get too stressed/desperate if it's near 50%
afkhelper will give u some ideas if you're stuck

anyway regarding our experiments, the thought process was like this, maybe this can help u in future
first Daimon frontline (this starts to not work once your 5 heroes move near or past Lv.160). he can tank, he can carry, he saves u 1 tank slot to sub in a support
then notice which enemy heroes are wrecking which of your tanks. in this stage it's unfortunate that all 3 are wrecking your heroes, it's a tough stage. so Nara doesn't quite help here since pulling 1 means the others get wrecked
so i turn my attention away from Nara, to other types of support
Lyca gives Haste, generally good. also she is one of those supports that u can truly not give a crap about surviving. she can die 1s after her Haste, it wouldnt matter. so u noticed Estrilda wrecking the top half with her charge, so i put Lyca there as a 'sacrifice' while at the same time getting her Haste support
next, Silas' heals and immunity is pretty impt here because their heroes hit really hard
then u found Golus tanked better than Hogan, so use Golus in that btm tank position
lastly, experiment with cc in the #5 position

it's impossible for me to tell if u can clear this with enough retries, thus i asked u to observe and spam retries for the formation that's closest to winning
if u know how to setup an emulator macro, leave that macro running and it might just work, but i really dont know if it will work eventually

and also small things are impt like choice of artifacts, i always slap Call on Daimon early game
if i run out of Call slots for supports, i use Eye for the Haste

Go look at his levelled heroes, Daimon is highest which is best, he levelled 3 fodder, the only thing is Oden L+ which I wouldn’t ascend that early but it’s like 1 hero and the guy you’re talking to is below 50% which is rare for beginners to do. Do you even remember how early game was like?

i had an alt that i quit like 20 days ago that was chap 24 and completly f2p, so i think yeah i know what its like to struggle in early chapters and ask for help, but he asked and he knows the %, so i still stay on my point that he shouldn't have invested in other units yet, except daimon
and also said that he might be stuck on Oden for a while and that he should use Daimon which is M which should carry him at that point already and to invest in fodder first, because he already ascended non-fodder units and not rely on units that he doesnt have

and requiring 2 tanks is part of the reason why Mirael is a worse carry than Daimon
this isn't even touching on the topic that using TWO carries together takes up valuable team spots and gives less support in return which is why my guide works

there's a slight difference once people go from earlier chapters to about where u are
Daimon frontline is better up till all 5 heroes are near to or are at Lv.160
so for u Daimon backline is better but for CH1~15/16 (idk at which chapter exactly) players, Daimon frontline is better most of the time

reason is because Daimon can tank in earlier chapters, saving a spot for extra support
but later on the dmg becomes too heavy for him to tank

and if you tank damage or get cc'd your energy economy gets worse or halts and your Daimon will ult way less frequent from what it feels like

@sage yarrow another thing about Mirael that makes her worse than Daimon is that she almost requires Rosaline for her to double ult and wipe enemies quick (a single ult often does not kill enemies)
but Rosaline does not provide much cc or support in some cases to deal with difficult enemies
whereas Daimon can enjoy both Rosa and cc support heroes, he does not almost require Rosaline

whether that's worth the trade off or not, u have to play and see for yourself
it's hard to argue everything on paper because a lot of things can make sense on paper but fail IRL, best way is to try it for yourself in-game. which is what i've done with alts

Rowan needs that spot for his potions to reach everyone, but the Eironn + Daimon combo is strong because Daimon ults really quickly due to him hitting multiple enemies at once, so Eironn would prefer that spot over Rowan early game
someone here showed me Eironn + Daimon early game and he's at like 46% so i'm pretty impressed, i'm gonna try it myself some day

You have Daimon, you should be using him as carry. Reset Wu Kong to get Daimon to Lv.100

Which artifacts do you have? Use Call on Daimon if you have Call, otherwise use Eye on him. Then use HP/DEF artifacts on Golus

Frontline = Daimon Golus
Backline = Silas (middle back position), then pick 2 supports from the following - Lyca/Tasi/Morrow/Oden

Retry a couple of times, play around with the positions but don’t move the frontline heroes into backline and vice versa. For example try Daimon top and Golus bottom then if it’s not working try it the other way round

By the way, you’re levelling and ascending fodder which is correct, but you have Daimon so the levelling steps change slightly. Refer to my guide in #classic-questions pinned messages and follow the Daimon carry levelling steps

Bursting down Brutus is a fast way toward the Defeat screen, especially if you don’t have a way to kill him through his damage immunity or remove it.

Lorsan links him, and Framton is damaging him, in that formation you’re using.

@upbeat fossil Update on my attempts with Desira, Rosaline and Fawkes in the 5th slot:

Desira: Decent healing, but no compound healing since either she or Silas die too quickly to keep Daimon alive, since nothing's stalling Mirael and Estrilda from killing Daimon at full force. The healing isn't enough to make a difference.

Rosaline: Does almost nothing. Her immunity wears off before she can reach Daimon from the 5th slot so she just gets charged down by Estrilda.

Fawkes: Seems to last the longest now, he coffins Mirael so Daimon survives a bit longer, there's still the issue of Estrilda CC-chaining Daimon so that kinda nullifies the effects of the coffin a bit. Almost does nothing to help how quickly Silas and Golus die tho.

Basically the battle's kinda been split into two halves. Daimon vs Estrilda and Mirael, and Golus + 5th Slot vs Grezhul and Isabelle. The 5th slot has to really stall for Daimon before getting mowed down by Grez and Isa.

I think it's either Morrow or Fawkes that'll decide the win at this point.

Is there a chance that maybe I can try Thoran for the Terrify after revive to delay Grez and Isa, gotta test it out, cause that means Thoran "dies" much quicker than Golus leaving the 5th and 4th slot vulnerable

Framton is a temporary bandaid though. Main issue is that you're slowly creeping into the territory where Shemira falls off, ideally you should have started building a replacement for her a good while ago, ascending her to M is a pretty big oof

@upbeat fossil Yeah, I didn't really think that far ahead, but I noticed after a ton of retries that it was very one-sided if I put Daimon at the front to "bodyblock" for Lyca

but the lowest clear did it with Daimon frontline and his Daimon is significantly worse than yours
i guess his supports made a world of difference, esp that Gorvo

Dunno the specific reason for why Lyca does a better job at stalling but I got very lucky.

Isabelle and Mirael were the problems after Grezhul and Estrilda got delayed. Especially Isabelle, I realized. Cause her Ult can one-shot Daimon so I had to sub Nara back in.

I think what happened was that Framton didn't get Crit at all for once, and managed to pop his Ult. He threw both the Hypo Mage and Grezhul into Isabelle to stun her and stop her Ult (Which one-shots Daimon). Isabelle was out of commission long enough for Daimon to refresh his Shield after Mirael destroyed it (didn't Crit).

(I threw Framton in there cause I noticed he stunlocked Grezhul a ton, especially if Morrow Coccoons him and survives to pop another Coccoon at the backline)

So Daimon's next Ult killed Isabelle and stole enough to subsequently kill the rest except the Hypo Mage, and that gave me like 3 seconds to quake in my boots to pray the Hypo doesn't pull a comeback and miraculously outduel Daimon.

Then I proceeded to hyperventilate and scream at my victory over this nightmare of a Stage

i thought Nara died in like a few seconds from hooking Isa so using Nara delayed Isa's ult for a few seconds which was enough to clear it

tbf, unless the enemy is named "brutus" very rarely they can duel daimon at +20 pre chapter 30. i guess isabelle now can after the buff but still
