Even if the specific one doesn't work, here's the idea behind each pick to see if it will help you pick a more suitable one.

• Shemira may drop off in usefulness later, but she's still a juggernaut at this stage of the game. In that position, she'll silence the mage.
• I can't remember how durable Rowan is at that stage, but he's done well in the front a lot in my experience. In that spot he'll charge up Arden, Shem, and Daimon alike.
• Nara is your anti-Silvina.

And I did hesitate to put Daimon there, but in my experience it's usually a good idea to have at least some faction-match bonus.

At any rate, there are things to do besides the campaign. The Arcane Labyrinth was probably my most valuable source of resources at that time.
And the free Arena matches you get per day? Always use them. There's a chance of getting a treasure chest with 300 or 3000 diamonds.
And pick matches with a lower power number than yourself. It may seem mean, but the prizes you get don't depend on the difficulty of the opponent there.

Hrm. Well, now that you know Nara can make dealing with her at least a bit more bearable going forward by directly countering what makes her so dangerous, you might be able to progress a bit more.
At any rate, you're getting too frustrated. The ol' "repeatedly punching a brick wall" state of mind almost never works. I don't only suggest waiting to gather rewards; it's to come back with a clean head.

One more thing: at the Noble Tavern, fill your wishlist. If your wishlist is full, any Elite card you draw will be from there. (It won't work if spaces are missing.)
Also, you're guaranteed at least one Elite every 30 draws, so don't lose heart if you seem to have bad luck with that.

For starters, I reccommend reading the pinned beginner guides in the #classic-questions channel, you've fallen into the most common beginner trap of ascending far too many units to L without being able to get them to L+, this is wasting a lot of your fodder units, and risks getting you stuck later. As you've probably already noticed, you're stuck at 140 now, and if you don't plan ahead a bit, you're going to get stuck on 160 too

Since I have 5* call I can afford to take Ezizh out and just put in Flora for more dmg (clearing enemies that are left at low hp) but you have to test this out for yourself and see if your thoran can actually ult

A problem in this stage for me was that after Torans ult, enemies were left at very low health. Talene often fails to kill those so putting in an unit like Kelthur or Flora helped me tons

Yea basically, I'm pretty new to and this is going off the guide in #classic-questions, you want to get your fodder to at least L+ (the poop heroes) to raise the level cap. Then what you do is you put all the heroes you DO want to use in the resonating crystal so that their levels will be raised. This way, you can continuously increase the levels of your fodder. Linking a dimensional like POP basically gives him all the attributes and the level of the hero he is linked to. Unfortunately, this means you are unable to use POP and the linked hero. This is why I recommended linking to a leveled up Hogan, so that you will be able to use POP at Elite+ 91 while simultaneously keeping your overall level cap the same

• only need one carry, generally. daimon is better than belinda, so stick w daimon.
• daimon is best backline - despite being a tank, he plays more like a mage, and needs to survive long enough to shield.
• rowan's position determines who gets the healing potions. in position 5, the healing does not reach positions 1 and 3 (which means daimon doesn't get it).
  that said, try brutus tasi daimon rowan lyca. the order is flexible but try this one first.
