@pale kettle You can keep Hogan leveled. He is both food AND used for leveling. You will have plenty of copies of him early game, which will allow you to break the lvl 160 cap.

@clever elk You don't have much choices yet on your heroes. Okay maybe ditch Raine, and put Lyca instead for the initial haste. Aside from that, just iron your wishlist as per recommendation and keep pulling heroes. Have you read the pinned guide on #classic-questions ?

This way you don't have to commit to building any of the characters with rarer drops until you know you have enough of them

And you'll need fodder to be ascended anyway in order to build your other characters later, so doing it early lets you quickly progress and nicely sets you up for that

My best heroes / the ones I use in campaign are Rowan, joker, talene, Silvina and sometimes thoran/Arden, so they're they ones with duras and mythic mostly

you need to do some upgrades though since you dont have a carry to progress with in campaign.
maybe upgrade izold as a carry.
Either way..
i'd probably run something like
rowan talene; rosaline mirael fawkes
brutus thoran; saveas lyca arden
wukong skreg; tasi ferael joker
its a start.. but you have to adapt to people around you. i'd encourage watching your battles and see what's beating what.. matchup is very important.
if you upgrade izold.. you can run something like izold talene tasi rowan arden/flex pick
main problem though is you need to progress your crystal

I'm hoping Joker can carry me, some people seem to have gone really far through the campaign with him but some people are less positive on it, maybe I should try somebody else

I'd say you are reaching the begging of Shemira's downfall. If I were you I would use the swap scroll with Daimon or garrison an Ainz and link him to Shemira.
Also, if you were to put Rowan where Brutus is, after Athalia killed Rowan who would she target next

Hey all, quick question. Just started a few days ago. I've been using Gwyneth as my carry as I've pulled a couple right away. My 1st 5 man team is currently Gwyneth (L112), Mirael (E+81), Rowan (E81), Eironn (E+81) and Ulmus (E81) as my tank. After a ton of pulls (thank you anniversary event) I now have Lucius, Brutus, Thoran, and Daimon for available tanks. Going to reset Ulmus and then level one of my new tanks. Just wondering which one would pair well with the rest of my team as I level through campaign and other stuff.

@simple trench this game, works with one carry overlvled. In your case now, you should have Belinda up to 140 then lvl the others 4 to 120.then Belinda to 160 and so on. Belinda would be weak sometimes, but since you only have this, use this. Your team should work fine with

But i guess everyone has their own preference

You might hear about how good Rowan is but early-game he dosen't shine as much. Silas and Talene are the best healers early-game.
I suggest you make Mirael your carrier since Saurus can be a carrier early game but later he will die quickly and you'll struggle.

Rowan, Mirael, Tasi - Back row;
