in general, whether you decide to use savaes or mirael as your carry, they need a strong tank in front of them
secondly, leveling mirael to 82 does nothing, as hero strong points are every (20n+1) - e.g. 81, 101, etc
i do: carry to 100 -> rest to 80 -> carry to 101 -> (optional: rest to 81) -> carry to 120 -> rest to 100 -> ...etc

the most important thing to do here is to reset your other 4 to level 80, then burst mirael to 120 before leveling them again. keeping carry maxed on level before touching the others is extremely helpful. as for team, a general comp could be something like brutus - lyca - rosa - mirael - rowan

Brutus and Golus are not the issue, the issue are those Hypogean mages. Last survivors are Mirael and Daimon, everyone else is obliterated by the mages except for Rowan who dies mostly because of Brutus. Is there anything I'm missing? In my best attempt Golus went down and Brutus' shield was popped, the mages were half hp

my noob advice
seems quite a good setup already to me, but perhaps you can try fawkes to box up one of the enemy (depends on who he boxes, best if its brutus or golus) , or ferael if you think the mages are an issue.
you can post the rest of your hero box, and a video of your best fight if you still can't pass

in early game, your primary carry can/should be frontlining, since getting hit = more energy regen = more ults
this is more true for you since you've got an izold - i don't see any particular need here for you to put him back, since the enemies are lower level
apart from that you could try rotate them to: 1. lucius, 2. izold, 3. talene, 4. daimon/lyca, 5. lyca / daimon,
usually position 4 is more optimal for lyca but i suspect lyca will target estrilda first if left there. idea is to attack through the bottom side first and hold out the top side. if it doesn't work, flip them top to bottom to attack through the top side.

let me know how it goes, post a video of your best fight if still having issues

i'm also stuck at similar place, so can't offer much help, but personally silvinas was an issue for me. since you have nara you can interrupt her backline assassination and see if you can kill her first.
other than that, i like having tasi in my teams but her blink is very frustrating sometimes so rng till she doesn't suicide

aside from that, there is no one "best team" - you use whatever you have, and adjust your team based on enemies / bosses. this is a fundamental part of the game so you're always switching up the gears between heroes.

lastly, please do NOT anyhow level heroes - you should only focus on 5 and only 5. i see a lot of hero level 2's; while not particularly damaging, it's a rather bad habit that wastes resources in the long run
a lot of good tips can be found in the guides i mentioned, such as who to level first, etc, so do peruse them

Fawkes traps one of the mages, which does help but it's not enough. Ferael helps as well but he's squishy, manages to use ult once and terrorize twice (on my best attempt using him) before going down but it's still not enough.

the thing that taint is saying about your advice of saying to do such things because you did it at an alt being bad advice because, not everything will works the same depending on stages. and if by that logic of what you are saying, then lets say someone got to very higher chapter, for example chap31 without using any meta heroes like eironn, safiya, gwyn etc. then he recommend people to build some other non-meta or harder to progress heroes because HE used them and it worked for him thus calling the other hero as trash. but the community wont like that since it doesnt wipe away the fact that those are still meta heroes

and those advices will not only jeopardize the progress of other newer players, but it will also makes them quit the game because they tot the game is boring as they are unable to progress at all after a certain point because they heed towards the advice of someone that managed to progress with these heroes with a ton of investment and also luck. so the general rule of thumb is, better dont advice people about things that you tested on an alt and NOT on your main account and are absolutely confident about their effect

sry, ive drag it too long. ok, so firstly you can throw rowan and daimon into the RC. the general rule of thumb for new players is only ascend and level fodder heroes(hero with 3 skills such as silvina) because it is much easier to get their copies compared to A-tier hero(4 skill hero such as daimon) and those fodder hero caps out at lvl160 which will make it much easier for when you transition to other hero at higher ascension

that was just an example about your point of frontlining daimon, like, yes, you have tested it on an alt of frontlining daimon and worked, but daimon are extremely squishy before he gets an ult in or gets his 2nd stash of blooshield which makes him to die prematurely and are often recommended to be slotted into backlines so that he can have time to get his bloodshield running. and frontlining daimon can works, however, it require several heroes that have cc at the initial battle such as ferael/arden/tasi so that daimon wont get tapped and get his bloodshield, but it is not the case with vostix is my point

Fawkes trapped Mirael (if I remember correctly), Daimon AoE helped lowering Merek and Mirael ult finished every enemy support hero (lucky critical hits were extremely valuable). Talene is just there for the hp recovery and resurrection value

I am new to the game but I am currently rocking Mirael, Isabella, ulmus(not. Light bearers), numishi (not light bearers), Hogan. Numishi is the only way to get regen.
I just thought that if you have the same don't you get special attacks or something.
My draw of cards hasn't been to good so I was just wondering.

i feel you need 1 more dps.. you're not gonna be able to kill vedan fast enough, and silvinas will slaughter your backline too easily.

i'd try lyca in place of arden, then position backline as 3.lyca, 4.tasi/talene, 5.talene/tasi
put whoever silvanis targets to position 5 away from lyca, make sure tasi doesn't blink suicide, and try to have lucius stay alive as long as possible - if he doesn't pop his shield in first 5s you can restart - a lot of rng so be prepared to retry many times
other alternatives you can try are maybe nara or fawkes in place of lyca?

apart from that personally i like leveling them to 121 instead of 120 - i do feel the power boost

personally i feel having that "hole" where rosa is invites enemy brutus to come into you and will wipe lyca fast; perhaps you can try with your own brutus to hold

sorry to be contrarian, but he's so close to 161+ with food ready, and no rowan in sight. furthermore there's no other carry heros with >= 4 copies in his roster
gwyn may not be the best choice overall, but it seems it's his only choice to move forward...

edit: to be more clear, it seems he has already waited it out as long as he could to get other better heroes; you can see his 4x other heroes are at 140/141 already, he needs his carry to be 161+++

2. i think you can try with silvinas in, with good luck if silv stays alive long enough, you can get enemy mirael to ult in the wrong direction. only problem i don't see anyone to swap out... unfortunately your team at this point doesn't feel the strongest

alternatively, ofc you can just wait till carry 161 and 4x 141 break points; the power difference should get you over the line hopefully

A lvl 160 Mirael would swipe through that with Rosa.
Gwyn is an auto attack late game carry.
Without her SI she does nothing here.
She hits about as hard as Mirael would...except Mirael's ult actually kills things.
She cant even stun which is her biggest ace up her sleave.

So 1st of all Gwyn is not the best carry.
She has a ton of limitations and needs certain heroes to even work.
2nd of all a lvl 160 Gwyn is borderline useless.

break points are 4 and 8 copies. ofc in an ideal world you only want to ascend 8 copies, but you won't be able to level anybody past 160.. levels are way more important than ascensions so that's why 4 copies is a break point - you can get them past the level cap first, then continue to hoard heroes

You can also cheat it a little early on.
Just dont level up when its about to come.
Then it starts.
You break level milestones (200,220,240) and you get a massive advantage.
Their ratings wont adjust.
They are calculated at start and stay that way.

Leveling priority goes like this
First carry 20 or 40 lvls above everyone, after that rest of the team
(carry hits cap first after that rest of the team climbs so carry can level more)

Also shemira is pretty bad
Ascended shemira does worse compared to elite + daimon

for you, it's best to stick with the "fodder" heroes first - mirael, savaes, arden, etc (per the guide)
everyone does this till they accumulate enough copies of better heroes - for you it's even worse cos you made some mistakes by ascending wrongly / randomly, so you'll need to be extra patient for the next 1-2 weeks at least

edit: you should also reset your current hero levels and put them into the aforementioned fodder heroes, because you've (almost) hit the level cap and are unable to get past it atm very soon

per the guide, pick 1 from each of the 4 factions, and 1 more from any faction. recommended ones are Mirael, saveas, arden, and silvinas/niru, and the 5th one is usually hogan
these (and more) are all the the guide, so pls read through before coming back.
if you have any specific parts that you really really don't understand (because ppl usually hate re-explaining things that are found in the guide), head over to #classic-questions as the channel name suggests - this channel is meant for trying to beat specific stages

No no no. You can hcp regular heroes. For chall coins, use them on Ezizh. Your goal for now is getting your first 5 Ascended. So, iron your wishlist, and keep pulling. And ascend whichever hero you got the most copies. Hopefully, rng blesses you with Daimon copies.

in this case, i believe you have to put nara/farael in middle (position 4) instead of rowan due to enemy farael

Lab coins you use to buy dims, or Arthur. Daimon you can easily access when you have select summons unlocked in your field of stars.
