you can pull whenever you get cards for your first ones, for stargazing it’s liberta, and for timegazing it should be awakened shemira

after getting them to 1 star you should save up your cards in both sg and time cards until you have enough to finish a hero in one go

because if a better one gets released, or the meta changes or there is just a better choice for you at that moment you’ll regret pulling

Nope, not a good idea, try to ascend legendary heroes so u won't get stuck waiting for a specific summon, ivan + randle, randle is a great carry, u can try to build a team around him, he hits pretty hard with his serpents

An easy comp that can carry you up to chapter 31 is Ivan, Randle, Atheus, Brutus, Mira, Lyca and Nara.

You only need 1x Brutus, 1x Lyca, 1x Nara, 1x Mira. If you get more Mira you can ascend her to Legendary after Ivan and Randle.

You need to start working towards 10x Ivan, 10x Ranlde and 10x Atheus. You can get to chapter 31 with just an ascended Randle, but invest in Ivan and Atheus too.

It works for career and it is a good tower comp too.

the problem is you leveled the wrong heroes. you wont be able to hit 160 until you get 4 copies of them

that is why you level fodder at first, it is easy to get enough copies to get L+ versions

You need si20 3f e30 for her to be a carry. She needs to be A*1 at least with 3 furniture

she links. you just need a dude that is at least A*1 to link her to

when you ascend you can use poe coins for furniture, each char has 9 mythic furniture pieces. there are bonus skills at 3 and 9

engraving is something you can do at A*1 which just gives you more stats essentially

and engraving also gives extra skills at benchmarks, 30 being one

The big fat Mauler tank is also good as a 1-2x for some stages, similar to Brutus

You don't need randle/ivan fully ascended either althoughmost people will recommend not making L-M+ versions of heroes

If you think you’ll get enough fodder by the time you get Jerome 8 copies, you can probably ascend.

Do not make a mythic hero without 8 copies.

Also, don’t ascend until you have 2 L+ fodder & 2 E+ fodder. You may get more copies of a priority hero.

It doesn’t take long. If you have good rng and get Randle quickly, it can be very fast. Up to you though. Don’t expect any fast progression with your current heroes anymore though.

You need to level the fodder heroes from the guide cause you can ascend them pretty easy. Then you put the meta heroes in the resonating crystal to bypass level caps

But you need to upgrade 5 heroes at the same time to make the level go higher. So thats why you level the fodder heroes cause they are easily ascended to bypass the level caps

I would use the Randle you got lucky to pull and push through all of the early game chapters. Just give him all of your levels until you can’t level him anymore. Use him and 4 random level 1 graveborn heroes.

You unlock engraving at 1* which can unlock important abilities for certain characters.

Each hero unlocks additional abilities at level 30 and 60 engraving (known as e30 and e60). The ones with no border have some useful ability that you may need/want from those engraving. Always ask before engraving in #classic-questions

Once you hit 200 TEs, pull for AShem (if there is not a new awakened hero on the horizon)

Also fix your wishlist if you haven't already. 4* Daimon is crazy.

Eventually, your fodder will be L+ while Randle will be stuck at E+ until 4-8 copies.
That means your fodder will be able to be a higher level than Randle will be. Until you get past 160 (or until Randle hits M), fodder is the safe bet to get past the level cap 120 for E+ heroes.

You are missing 4 copies of atheus. Ascended is a very big breakpoint for many heroes unlocking furniture (and engraving at 1*).
Atheus is the same at M as he is at A until 9f. Even if I were to rush him, I’d keep him at M. So you’ve already wasted 1 L+ fodder.
Second, you’ve got 4 copies. If you get 8 copies of another meta hero, you could grit it to atheus later. Now you’ve invested all your fodder into a character with only 4 copies. You’re stuck waiting and praying for RNG. congrats!

This is indeed a game, one that is highly competitive and often relies on knowledge and correct gameplay to prosper. You asked a question and I gave you an answer with all the information I had. I’m sorry but I think sugarcoating an answer and limiting the information given is far worse than sounding rude for one message.

The reality of restarting stings, but it is the only way this game will truly be any fun in the long run. If you want this game to be fun in the short run, playing casually is a decent option. Then there’s no point to asking questions, you can really do whatever you’d like :)

Oh and I did make lots of mistakes when I started. I’ve restarted over 4 times (and I’ve made more mistakes still) That’s just the reality of this game though.

If you want any advice, you’ll probably really only get good advice after you restart :P

I feel like telling newer players to restart once a mistake is present bc they havent followed the meta to a tee is just going to turn a lot people away from the game who have already possibly sunk a couple months in and hurt the playerbase as a whole. Instead, offer a pivot to the guide if they havent seen it so they can build off their established account

It depends on the extent of the mistake. When you’ve wasted your fodder, you will likely hit a boundary either way. Once progression slows down, people who don’t like the game will quit either way.

The game is incredibly easy to restart with it being as easy as switching servers. It would be better to guide players who have the interest in the game to properly invest rather than encourage those with mistakes to continue on at a disadvantage.

Almost all of the advice given is to be competitive in RGMs.

The reason for this is because progression largely depends on performing well in RGMs. If you don’t want to get completely stuck in a few weeks, following the meta to be competitive is the only option. Unfortunately this game is cutting edge and being competitive may not be for everyone. So people are free to play casually, but if you’re playing casually, questions and advice aren’t really needed as much..

I think so. The problem is that you are going to need 5 heroes to be L+ to get to 160 cap and doing that with non-fodder means you need 4x copies of 5 non-fodder heroes

It is a lot easier to get fodder to L+ because you get so many copies of them. Eventually you will get rid of all of your fodder, using them to ascend normal heroes but you need to wait until you have 8x copies of the hero

I messed up putting Palmer and Atheus on my resonating crystal before they ascended and now I either need to regress them or finish getting 8x of each before I can move my cap up

And I have 2x more ascended heroes so I should have my reso at 240+ rn

I just need 1x Atheus and 2x Palmer so I am trying to wait it out but it might be smarter to regress them

Yea this is pretty solid! Your frontline is strong and Scarlet as well as Palmer are both good. Id recommend pushing for Randle if you dont have him as he is one of the best (if not the best) early game carries in the whole game. If you dont have him and still want to push campaign i would replace Gorren with maybe a lightbearer for the faction buff in the top left

Chapter 6 is really early on. You kind of want to spike an awakened hero and just ride them to like chapter 15. You are doing well with the fodder for now, just keep putting resources into them to 160. Once you get there your comp matters more.

Ivan is good. You want the following heroes to reach chapter 31:
Ivan (work towards 10x)
Randle (work towards 10x)
Aethus (I was fine with 2x)
Lyca (I was fine with 2x)
Mira (I was fine with 2x)

These are also good:
Gorren (I was fine with 2x)
Brutus (really only need 1 copy)
Nara (I was fine with 2x)

For hero tower quite a few of those are playable, but I would focus on that after getting campaign further.

They are just for your resonating crystal (RC). You level them up because it will be easier to take them to L+ which has a lv cap of 160. You place the heroes you use in the slots below in RC until you have enough resources and copies of heroes to move past lv 160

Jerome qns rem arnt that useful. Also remember might be stealing you Ivan from randle so bad aswell. Good heros to slot in would be brutus nara lyca and gorren. Atheus randle Ivan are fine

Rem is slightly outdated. Randle is the better carry but rem is good to fall back onto since you can get her guaranteed.

No rem is still the best to Garrison early.
Randle Ivan are the core and the rest are either tanks with invincibility or supports that give haste or cc.
Randle Ivan brutus Lyca and Nara are the best earlygame team

U should watch the replay tbh . I still prefer lib using flight & replace jerome with lyca and brutus use barricade for artifact . The comp some time take more than 10 retry coz very RNG

how should i make my team?
is main dps - two tanks - two supports good?

usually you want just enough for the dps to live and then only supports

supporting heroes i should say, not all supporting/buffing characters are support class

so if you use smth like atheus, randle, ivan, lyca, gorren that would be dps, two tanks, two supporting

but sometimes you can get away with randle frontline and then a third support

Use more graveborn heroes instead of the other heroes. If that doesn’t work, use atheus, lyca, Mira, Brutus, Nara, etc. follow popular formations.

i think lyca is the problem her try putting her in the backline, now your backline comes to the fight without tanks in the front and get damaged, if this doesnt help put lyca away and slot in a tank or support like jerome or something

If you’re stuck at chapter 24 with 1* randle, you’ll struggle getting to chapter 31.
