(In levels 0-100, if you don't get a copy of Daimon early, you should level Wukong to level 100, then reset him and focus on Fodders or Daimon if you have 4 copies of him, otherwise level fodders and put Daimon on crystal. Read the pinned guide for more information and how to get Wukong.)

You do this to see what hero you get the most copies of to eliminate RNG.
This is not to make the mistake of making many heroes L without the copies for L+, essentially just wasting fodder.
Remember, 1 Ascended hero > 40 L heroes. L doesn't give anything worth compared to Ascending a hero fully.

When you're level capped at 160, you take the L+ fodder you build and feed it into an A-tier hero, so you can level to 180.
This is because you need an L+ fodder to take an L+ Ascended tier to M. You need 8/8 copies of a hero to ascend them to A (4 to L+ and 4 to A = 8).

Make sure it's a priority hero, and the one closest to 8/8 copies (Unless Daimon, Rowan & Raku, as long as you have 4/8 copies of those, you do them first as they get their power from their Signature item, which will help a lot in early/mid game).
(+30 Rowan > +30 Raku as your first priorities. Daimon only needs +20 and is a priority over Rowan and Raku.)

Early on it is better to make a team around Daimon. Brutus/Lyca/Oden/Daimon +1 depending on your needs looks like a good start.

Brutus don't need to be ascended. In fact, most of the time he works better at E for campaign. Put Lyca on your wishlist also and slot her in your crystal when you get the chance. She is another character that works at E because of her Haste buff at the start of the fight.

Other options are Nara for the CC on some annoying enemies like Isabela and Tasi. Rowan to give energy to Daimon. Thoran has some CC when he wakes up and that could help stall the fight for Daimon to ult. Arden has some CC too.

Also follow the pinned guides and start ascending fodder instead of getting a bunch of heroes to L without the copies to ascend them further.

@winged furnace My wishlist pictures will look a tad different than yours because I own all these heroes at max ascension. Your wishlist won't have the white borders or 5 stars on them like mine do.

There are a lot of good heroes out now, but I picked safe/ strong heroes for progression/ general account success.

Typically try to go from left to right from what you raise, but I will add some context to the list I'm posting for each faction:

LB: Rowan is king. At mythic ascension (red frame) heroes unlock signature item. Very safe hero to make as your first +30 SI (signature item) He is a very strong support and functions as a tank as well. Used across almost all content. The next hero, rosaline, is fine at elite or elite plus for a long time, dont dump fodder on them. I would try to focus on scarlet after you fully raise rowan, but you will ultimately be at the mercy of rng

Mauler: replace the right most hero on the list, antandra, with brutus until you own your first copy of brutus. He has an ability that prevents death for a few seconds, so he can tank for you even at the lowest ascension. Mauler heroes are typically expensive because a lot need higher investment to do well.

Wilder: Good faction that was overflowing with good heroes. I wanted to add "Tasi" to the list as well, but ran out of space. She might still do really well at a single copy as a support. Acceptable faction to use faction scrolls on.

Graveborn: Probably the best faction in the game. I would probably focus faction scrolls into graveborn. You want a lot of GB heroes. The leftmost hero, Daimon, would be ideal to have as your first raise, but you are at the mercy of rng. Daimon is a ranged, dps, tank He also works at relatively low investment.

A small asterisk to what I said above, Celestial and Hypogean heroes can still be pulled with a full wishlist, but are extremely rare in general. They are more expensive to raise, but are very strong, if you raise the right ones. You cannot wishlist cele/ hypo heroes.

Dimensional heroes are from exchanges or events, you can never summon them.

Go to heroes page and then portraits page. The portrait page shows the 3 tiers of hero.

Ascended tier heroes: Most of the heroes in the game. These heroes can be fully raised to the "ascended" tier which is a white frame, and can have stars added to them for extra stuff. **These are the heroes you will focus on raising and using on your account. ** You will need 8 copies of a hero total to get them to their white frame, which is called "ascended" tier. You can add up to 5 stars to each ascended hero once white frame for 2 copies per star of the hero.

Legendary tier heroes: There are 13 of them. These heroes go up to Legendary+ ascension and are used as food to raise your ascended heroes. If you are at an ascension stage that doesn't require you to use duplicates of a hero to raise them, you are using these heroes as food for your other heroes.

Common tier heroes: Trash. Green frame heroes. Instantly disassemble them for resources at the rickety cart.

Due to how this game works, you will want to focus on raising 5 ascended tier heroes from the main 4 factions at once. This means 1 hero per faction, and you will double up on the faction you get the most fodder (legendary tier heroes) for.

Elite (purple frame) single copy of the hero

Elite+ (purple frame which gilded corners) 2 copies of the same hero merged into 1

Legendary (gold frame) an Elite+ hero with 2 other elite+ heroes of the same faction fused into it (use food heroes as the other 2 elite+ heroes)

Legendary+ (gold frame with gilded corners) Takes a Legendary copy of a hero and an elite+ duplicate of that same hero to create. So far this has costed 4 duplicate copies of the core hero and 2 elite+ food heroes.

Mythic (red frame) The core L+ hero AND 2 food L+ heroes. Food heroes that are legendary tier cap out at Legendary+, you can never raise food heroes to mythic. Unlocks signature item, which is a massive boost to every hero. Each hero has a unique Signature item with unique stats and skills. Goes up to +30. 1-10 is relatively cheap, 11-20 is somewhat expensive but doable. +21-30 is very expensive and you should pick which heroes you +30 very wisely. Rowan is a great choice for your first +30.

Mythic+ (red frame with gilded corners) M hero and 2 L+ food heroes.

Ascended (white frame) M+ hero and 2 Elite+ copies of that core hero. 2 elite+ copies of a hero is 4 single copies total.

Each star beyond ascended takes an elite+ copy of that hero. 1 star gives unlock to the "engraving" system which is a large stat unlock system and upgrades some abilities. Anything beyond 1 star is just stats. While stars are good to have, once a hero is ascended, you can focus on the next hero from that same faction. Rinse/ repeat.

Ascension tier affects that hero's level cap, which is why you raise 5 heroes at once. The resonance crystal will bring your other hero's levels up to whatever your resonance crystal level is. So you only focus on levelling 5 heroes.

Celestial, hypogean, dimensional, and awakened heroes work a tad differently, but I don't want to confuse a brand new player

So you have a dilemma. He is an amazing hero, but any dps will need ascension to function. He is a damage dealer. Once you get a tad further in the game, you unlock a shop that has 5 celestial/ hypogeans available in a shop, but it takes a very long time to raise them. He is one of the shop heroes available, so he is reliable to raise.

He is expensive, but is actually a core hero used by endgame players like myself. He is a shop hero, so with enough time, you can fully raise him too. You can use him for now, but know he will eventually fall off just because all dps will need investment, and since he is hard to get, his investment will fall behind your other heroes until much later on when he catches back up.

The only thing rowan doesn't do is damage. You will need to add a damage dealer to a team he is on. He is a cracked support that functions as a tank and gives your team a bunch of healing, stats, and energy gain when fully raised. Desira is a good hero, just not a core hero a new player desires. Definitely a used hero later on, and a hero you could use at elite as long as nobody gets to her.

There are trash heroes desira isn't one of them, but she just isn't top priority.

Yeah. If things were -perfect- the game would feed you daimon copies, but you are being spoonfed copies of one of the best, if not THE best hero of the 4 main factions. Like that is some really good luck, yeah. You will be well off.

Super early game is the wild west. Anything goes. For best results to get way ahead of your friends, just collecting resources smartly, using them smartly, and prepping for later on will make you well off.

You also got a celestial hero, wukong. He is probably one of the worst celestial heroes, but he also is available in a separate shop than the other cele/ hypo heroes, but he competes with resources with dimensional heroes instead. Lilith likes to give copies away of him for free occasionally, so if you keep playing, you will see more copies of him.

That being said, wukong is a new player's nightmare Probably one of, if not THE strongest early game hero. Abuse him while you can. You will spank others around your power in arena with him too. Just know that he falls off. Abuse him while you can

Yeah. Anything goes, I wouldn't worry -too much- about how your team looks in your first few days. Worry more about collecting resources and using them wisely.

You will only want to raise 5 heroes from the main 4 factions beyond Elite+ at a time (not including food heroes). THIS is the smart thing to worry about. Focusing the food heroes into 5 heroes is key, and what will set you up for success. Don't spread out your food heroes to more than 5 heroes of the main 4 factions at a time.

In this game it is quality over quantity. You focus raising a small amount of heroes up really high instead of raising a bunch of heroes up just a little bit.

She is also what you have. Overlevelling her and focusing her will be your best bet for a while. She will work very well for you early on.

Shemira will be your best bet for a while. Her falling off later on doesn't make her weak early game. Old guides recommended her for a reason. She will carry you until your heroes start to reach around level 220 to 240.

give it a few days to try to make a smart decision to see what copies you actually end up with after a few days. Since wishlist is guaranteed, you should end up with copies of heroes to keep you going. One hero from each faction, and then a 2nd hero from the faction you get the most food heroes of.

At 3 copies right now, it is extremely likely rowan will be one of those 5 heroes for you.

You ultimately need 4 copies of a hero total to keep you going for a while. 4 copies of a hero and a lot of food heroes can get you to mythic plus, which will let you raise a hero's level to 220, and will buy you time. You focus on raising heroes high instead of spreading out resources so you don't get walled by a level cap.

Ascended heroes cap at level 240.

To go past level 240, you need five ascended heroes. From there, each white frame ascended hero you own boosts the level cap beyond 240 by +5 per hero. So 5 white frame heroes will instantly make their level cap 265.

Brutus has an ability to not die for X seconds once he is high enough level. He will help function as a tank, even at low ascension. He might need a few more levels for that ability. It is called "undying gasp"

ascension affects level cap, but each new ascension level is also a LOT of stats

so typically heroes need ascension if they ever need stats for things, aka being a dps or a tank.

Brutus helps bypass that by being a tank that doesn't die for X seconds, regardless of how low his ascension level is

Your call. The issue with brutus is that he doesn't ever do much else He always ends up remaining as a hero who just doesn't die for X seconds. He is like the least tankiest tank, later on, no matter how high he is raised, a single shot will take him down to use undying gasp and he will function about the same as he did as an elite hero.

I personally recommend getting him to elite or elite+ and then raising a different mauler

Just know that my brutus is barely better than your brutus right now.

also, afkhelper often needs niche setups including artis, or crazy retries. that setup looks huge rng focused (thoran taint, lyca haste for nara pull, lots of dice rolls need to go right)

brutus is used forever for his 12 second bubble, but i find at 1 or 2 copies that isnt very helpful for daimon (whose damage ramps up and takes way longer than 12s vs scarlet or raku going whole hog right away). if ur going hard gb scrolls, thoran often works well even outside of his thoran thing.

silas is also absolutely worth investing in, as a third brother to daimon/rowan

I’ve been maxing deimon and speed running the main campaign up to 6-4 to start doing the custom labyrinth missions.

My current plan is to wait for the full week to elapse so I get epic + Shemira, which with the copy that I already have will put me close to ascending her to legendary

You ascend fodders to L+ and level them to 160 when you start in the early game.

(In levels 0-100, if you don't get a copy of Daimon early, you should level Wukong to level 100, then reset him and focus on Fodders or Daimon if you have 4 copies of him, otherwise level fodders and put Daimon on crystal. Read the pinned guide for more information and how to get Wukong.)

You do this to see what hero you get the most copies of to eliminate RNG.
This is not to make the mistake of making many heroes L without the copies for L+, essentially just wasting fodder.
Remember, 1 Ascended hero > 40 L heroes. L doesn't give anything worth compared to Ascending a hero fully.

When you're level capped at 160, you take the L+ fodder you build and feed it into an A-tier hero, so you can level to 180.
This is because you need an L+ fodder to take an L+ Ascended tier to M. You need 8/8 copies of a hero to ascend them to A (4 to L+ and 4 to A = 8).

Make sure it's a priority hero, and the one closest to 8/8 copies (Unless Daimon, Rowan & Raku, as long as you have 4/8 copies of those, you do them first as they get their power from their Signature item, which will help a lot in early/mid game).
(+30 Rowan > +30 Raku as your first priorities. Daimon only needs +20 and is a priority over Rowan and Raku.)

Hey people, I was wondering if people could help me with AFK Arena. I must have been living under a rock for the past 3 years, because I started playing this game 4 days ago...

I have been following a guide by a guy called Tree3, it basically says have 1 main carry, and then 4 fodders that you get all to level 100. I used Wu Kong as carry. But he is stuck at level 100 now. My question is, should I reset him, and put all resources into a new carry. Who should the new carry be?

Wukong is taken off the crystal and replaced with fodder, and put into the crystal slots.

You've done well taking the 3-skills to 100, but misunderstood wu's purpose there. He was meant to be on the crystal and be your carry until 100 or so, where you swap to daimon (as wukong does fuckall dps)

All 5 of the highest heroes should be 3-skill fodder you're ascending to Leg+

yeah. If you can, ascend all your fodder as much as you can. You don't need to be careful about it, they'll overflow on their own

even f2p players jam 10pulls pretty often, and the vast majority of diamonds go into 10pulls

Would you worry about smart ascending if its using different heroes and not like the same unit? Like this:

I personally justmash smart and autoascend but i'm at a point where fodder doesn't need to be made super efficient.

Smart ascend does its best to ascend the fodder with the most available copies to put it as high as possible. Like there, it's pushing all the fodder into 4 copies that can be made into 1 legendary

In your case, it could have been done with the beard dude too, but AI picked harp man.

But you might want hogan to be a tanky frontline earlygame.

Use judgement on that. You can have a lower ascended, slightly more useful fodder hero you'll eventually feed, or a L+ you'll never use but can pump for levels until they become food

it takes until about RC 280 to 340 to be gated by hero exp instead of dust

Only weak spot in my comp is Raku being only elite

But I'm sorta just using Lyca for haste and that's about it lol

Eironn is not a carry, but a utility hero. Raku is a dps carry.
