The old one did not run in the background, you had to sit in the battle and couldn't leave. But it let you start from any round. AFter victory it would go to the lowest number round remaining but you could just stop it and then go to a different one

you also could stop it mid batlte and it would play that one out. Rather then immediately ending wherever it is
