No you click the ingame page and exchange using the materials you have saved up the whole time, offer enough so you get a total of 60 'shards', then you receive a box containing the hero on the day you exchange

If you're playing the mode where you have to summon for more, then you are in the wrong mode of the game, and you have to ask in #companions-questions instead

Also, every time you get a hero to white tier (ascended), your max level goes up, so this is why your level is lower than your max level

In exchange you get to trade for both heroes one month earlier PLUS you get free signin boxes to get one for free even if you don't bother saving, still a better deal

The free signin boxes from my pov as a returning player was an impression of them being even more generous/made it easier for players to get dim so yes I do like that, but it’s just weird that now u need to wait an extra month to actually get the unit despite already exchanging it

You are half right, you exchange then get hero access instantly, BUT you wait 53 days (event lasts 60 days) instead, so overall this isn't much different in terms of waiting time

You can tell Lilith intended for F2Ps to wait two months, but allowing earlier exchange makes it much easier to get double exchange, whereas back then you needed to try to save up to max and then deal with overflowing resources which stresses players out
