the main reason for restarting is so your regional competition is easier

especially for accounts that have taken long breaks, it becomes impossible to do much against older regional competition

which means that your resource income is close to none

and a lot of people get bored of that quickly

i mean its completely up to the player to do what they think they'd want to do

I came back, gathered a few 10's of thousands diamonds, got a number of new "meta" heroes I noticed (lucked out on draws with liberta. Almost myth)

It's not about competing but for the rewards the modes give
Restarting = more resource gain = build heroes way faster
