They're super optional. Generally minimal or no stat increase.

Just like how Last Cloudia handles old units: some of the units got Insight which essentially is a massive buff to those units. And the old units got buffed with trait revision and even some units getting improved hitcounts.

It should be a gradual rollout, on a case-by-case basis.

When you reach ch7 you unlock the garrison option located in the friends tab. From there you save up resources like lab coins, challenger coins, guild coins, and barracks coins in exchange for unlocking a specific dimensional hero for a month. You renew it once a month for 6 months then you own the hero and no longer need to trade for it. You can garrison 2 dimensional heroes a month and you then link them to a hero of your choice. Whilst linked you cannot use the same two heroes in the same team or in different teams at the same time unless you have a dimensional key that you unlock much later on in the game allowing you to use them in the same team. Each hero costs 100 garrison shards prices of shards varies depending on which game mode it is from.

Out of those, I would probably prioritize Lucilla > Alna > Haelus/Canissa > Veithael/Kalthin based on the teams I see. Mehira and Orthos don't see much use anymore, Orthos occasionally for NC, so only build him using the Challenger Sote after supplementing your Alna progress and getting Zolrath and Ezizh

You're welcome! It might be worth looking at some of their team compositions, too. Some have more specific team needs (why I lowered my take on their priority), so it may be worth diverting from my recommendation a little depending on which teams you have or are close to and the modes they're used for.

But Lucilla and Alna are definitely the most useful out of that group from my experience.

Dupes can be used to rank up your heroes, which yes will make them stronger. Only use dupes on the original hero, unless you need to free up room and can't spend the diamonds for extra space

Brutus, Numisu, Antandra, Kren, Naroko
Lyca, Eironn, Mishka, Nevanthi, Atheus
Shemira, Odin, Daimon, Silas, Ivan

Rowan, Eironn, and Lyca are all good heroes to invest in later. Don't put anything into Arden, you're going to end up using him as rank up fodder later
