it's a difficult time to be a beginner with being 5.5y into a gacha game
it will take a longggg time to catch up to most f2p now, and frankly a lot of other games are strictly more appealing and rewarding
this game needs a ton of QoL and re-evaluation from devs to be more friendly and rewarding to players
i wouldn't necessarily say "just quit", but understand that a game like this is a daily commitment, and weighing this game against the other available options and really asking yourself "is this really worth my time?" is completely valid

You know what's making people quit? It's the Labrynth. Why? Because you have 3 stages full of enemies, and you have fight each one by one. You know how stressful that is? Not each day we do that, but it feel like we do it every day. Takes a while to get that done. They held the skip all floors, until chapter 30, which was a bad idea

lab is one of the least stressful things in the game. merc an OP carry like AAth and delete everything. after a handful of times beating it + some progression, you can autosweep the entire thing without battling a single time.

it's fun to collect characters and watch your account grow stronger over time, + dopamine from pulls.
if you're in a niche micro-community of a game, like the Discord and Reddit (where players are primarily asking for help), most people will be recommending the meta, which is really grindy and optimization-heavy
one of my closest friends plays this game 100% casually and loves it

i just personally think these days there's more entertaining things to spend your time doing, with more immersive narratives and more beginner-friendly mechanics

As it is AFK players have troubles reading, turning it into a mix of letters and numbers (not even roman numerals) will make it even worse

the reason they use numbers past 999, is because there's numbers for it

1000 is a valid number, and won't break the game

It's pretty simple. When heroes reach level 1000, it's displayed as A00. As the levels progress to 1099, it will display as A99. When it gets to 1100, it becomes B and thus B00. Continuing to B99, then switch to C00-C99, etc. All the way to Z99.
