I love when they make awakened versions different roles that have the basic feeling of their base form. Instead of just making the awakened feel like they have the same skills, just stronger. Talane, Ezizh and Shemira were amazingly well designed. The rest feel less innovative.

if u want to progress slower than everyone else for no reason, yes you can skip Rem. Newbies can choose what heroes they want to simp for after getting through the early game. There's no need to handicap yourself from the very beginning

There's also a case for not focusing on Rem. Rem Ivan only speed runs you to ch 31. Then players stay in 31 for much longer than it took 1 to 31, since they dont have anything as strong as Rem. They then have a lot of trouble finding an equivalent team to bring them to 32.
