That depends in my opinion, if you wanna just push campaign chapters, it's no biggie, but if you wanna be competitive on the new pvp/pve modes, you have to min-max everything which can burn some people out pretty fast (especially because the hero meta in those modes change regularly), so if you're starting i'd just say try to have fun in your own way, build characters you visually like etc.

assuming you didnt waste fodder and prioritised graveborne with faction scrolls you should get a mythic ascended hero easy

in the temple of ascension, you link that mythic hero with your rem that you garrisoned and then just keep attempting stages
