Some of this really is to cap krakens though, they don't want to have krakens 20 chapters ahead of everyone else. They had to get chasmic altar in to deal with this as the power gap continued to grow. They actually don't want krakens leveling up faster than 5 levels every 2 weeks; I mean without it you'd have level 10000 players already and nothing you can do campaign wise to deal with that

but that was a hard cap, now that f2p is blasting into the cap there's more reason to think about adjustments. Kinda like campaign power cap, it's supposed to be a failsafe not the main mode of the game
