that aside - i do def dislike the way this mode currently plays out and is ruined by the community - would love if lilith implements some features to make the "ally stuff" more binding

yes the idea I shot around would be a great addition to combat these issues, bigger map to focus more pve, 50 man oathed guild teams. prolly should reduce it from 12 teams honestly or more winning spots. the cutthroat stuff needs to go. rain mechanic is hot garbage. someone suggested that cities do not recover health in-between days would be a great addition for strategy. the choke points are pretty lame. cannon play really needs defined and refined for everyone to understand what the heck its doing. pretty annoying the cannon makes their team by default counter that lane canceling out the push. designing that the fight stalls without aide from an ally is lame aswell. make more use of skill. the dice roll odds on neutral cities needs changed last hit wins the city. the whole formula is gearied towards betrayals and alliances to make any progress, need to refocus that to skill based

I think that tying all rewards and income to personal quests, like in the ABEX game mode, would make things significantly better for both leaders and members.

The rewards for the City and the Oak should be limited to cosmetic items such as skins and frames.

the amount of time the siege commander has to invest is absurd as well, I got 90 hours in this one. why do we have to wait 2 hours after battle to set up the next day, just making us spend all day in the event for no good reason. we should also be able to cancel out a rally within a very short timeframe or one without commitments on it yet, or a simple verification to commit after the map gets reviewed like all the are you sure buttons already instituted in the game

Because of time zones we do our attacks midnight-2 am. I had to call a deputy irl to wake up and exit command of a city.

But in order to advance to higher floors, you must capture higher level settlements. 60 is the start. Higher level settlements will give higher max floor. There is a cap of 200 floors.

Technically, siege on league-occupied cities kind of impossible during Dawn of Discovery. The way it's set up, there isn't enough time. By the time you manage to occupy a city that has a road leading to a league-occupied city, the timer will end.

During the phase, you're encouraged to make plans.

• Scrolling and spamming for extra rewards from the chests
• The damn wait time
  • And when you skip out of the game you can't press anything in the realm of shadows and need to leave the realm and enter it again.
• A mail that can't be opened
  • I have (and others also) a Purchase Successful mail in the GF Mail system that can't be opened.
• Still no claim all for the mails
• Did I mentioned the damn wait time
• Torches should not be limited.
• A quest that could not be done for some people
  • I mean the one where you need to watch the siege battle.
  • Due to different timezones this is absurd for some people
  • Just get rid of the quest and/or even better, offer 3-4 different start times for the GF. This would maybe also help the leader as they could have the same problem with absurd timezones.

This mode had so many flaws currently it is ridicoulus.

Merging is also great because it removes inactive players and improves competition, while also cutting down the number of leagues.

I got on and league 3 already took it. This game mode really needs fixing.

Siege phase needs to be more flexible. Make it last 3 hours while attack can be up to 1 hour long. If multiple leagues attack the same city, the league that does it in the fastest time takes the settlement, regardless of the time of attack.

That means if a league takes a city in 45 minutes, and then 2 hours later when there's still 1 hour of siege phase left, if another league takes the city in less than 45 minutes, that league can yoink the city from another league.

Also would be awesome if we can destroy mountains to bypass the keep. Mountains would have 20m health and damage to the mountain is accumulated. Once it runs out, the mountain segment is destroyed and a new road is created.

If a leader has to invest hundreds of hours for potentially no rewards, they should have some input in their teammates

Clearly team buyers went to one map and savers went to the other map. Not a cool move, dont bother denying it we are well connected across the game to find these things out. 2 of my guild members solo qued rest guild enrolled yet. Half went to each map so no one can be a leading guild this season.

2.over testing in the same season a system should be kept for a full season before changing

3. Making game play features highly pay to win tower is a great example

What we ask as a community:
1 a match making where we can have guild rewards and Play with our guild no matter the ennemis

So, what have you guys find out about the army unit system in regards of attack and defense? What I find:

1. The battles are pure army unit stock and replenish. If player forget to check autofill, the team are fucc. There is also 5k cap of autoreplenish. So, each team have limit of how many battles they can engage and it makes mobilizing them finite, unlike shell infinite mobilization.

2. It seems like a team with 0 army unit will 100% defeated by team that still has army unit, doesn't matter if the comp stronger or not. And defeating 0 army unit team doesn't reduce your own army unit. Meaning 0 army unit team are better use for destroying wall but useless meat shield for facing enemy team (unlike shell system where debuffed team can still reduce enemy morale)

All in all, the only guarantee of winning in this system is high number of rally and every member MUST NOT FORGET TO CHECK AUTOREPLENISH. the guarantee is for attacking only.

If defense, there is no guarantee.

Do you know that in defending, if the city has total 67 teams but 20 without army units or forget to click Garrison, only 47 defending? Really fucc up

And if you mobilize troops after they win the attack, their army units are no longer full, so they has limit of performing in subsequent attack/defense

In shell system, most npc city can be won using minimum 30 teams. But with army unit restrictions, seems like 50 teams with autoreplenish is minimum for t4, and since they have cap in how many battles they can engage, the requirements might increase linearly with city level (since higher npc city has more troops)

This new system makes it more difficult to defend

While the army unit system make it less friendly for afk-ing, turns out the siege battle becomes more interesting

The army cap limit give more balance between whale league and average league, and the battle in each lanes progress faster which makes the redeployment time faster, and now the cannon become more dependable and predictable

The system give chance for both league to reach the wall and it becomes race of who destroy each other wall the faster

It give almost equal opportunity for average league to win against whale league, whale league is no longer invulnerable

But the downside is it depends 100% on active members and even so, the active members must double check that the army unit is refilled, AUTO-REPLENISh is on, and not forget to click garrison. Very high chance of human error and less guarantee of everything

Overall, the conclusion remains the same, the new system make it harder to defend

But it's now possible to win t10 in 1 on 1 battle. No more stalling game

It's a doom for semidead map tho 😂 well maybe not 100% doom, but player in semidead map can't just chill and still winning in dead league anymore

Actually in shell system the rally cancel is only for attack and active mobilization, to avoid debuff during mobilization. But if defending in original garrison, don't need rally cancel, just be there. But yeah, shell system can be a bit confusing

I'm still wondering if new system, the team automatically click garrison or not if team still have army unit. Seems like it's auto because when I login today, and click on city where my team just won, the first option that appear is cancel garrison. Meaning the team automatically garrison in their new base city. But looks like it need to have army stock for it to be auto garrison.

If team has no army unit, they won't appear during siege. For example, a city has 60 teams, but 20 don't have army unit, only 40 will defend. This is a confirmed fact in one of my league siege

So in a way it's kinda worst overall for defending

I tried to refill my team army unit in garrison during rain, but there is no option to cancel garrison (it's grey), so I can't refill it at all

Then I thought, I will just refill it thru rally thing and see if it will be full, then cancel it so it return to garrison, but guess what?

After you rally them, and then you cancel it, the army unit become 0!! The army unit get all refunded because the game thought I don't want to rally or garrison!

Because the army unit get all refunded, now the team that's previously garrisonning, cannot garrison anymore!

Dang, I didn't have screenshot of previous stare, but previously, the team still have remaining army unit (around 1k ish) after last siege, and you can see option "cancel garrison"

But now after I rally and cancel, while the screen show my team is still there, the city option is no longer cancel garrison, but only "garrison", which mean your team no longer can participate in defending because the army unit become 0, fucccc

So, in rain, you SHOULD NOT RALLY CANCEL if you want your team to defend the city. BUT, that means, during rain, the defense are very weakened because there is no option to refill the army unit.
The only way to refill unit during rain, is to do it before rain comes (so, you need to manually garrison, like shell system, and refill it immediately before it's raining). But for those who miss doing that before rain comes, the teams will be weakened without full army and must be careful not to accidentally deploy them in rally

I'm going to see how battle result tomorrow for that team in garrison. If it's 0, then that really means my team can't participate at all

Same duelist can attack and defend at the same time as long as it's only 1 tower.

For example, league A is attacking tower 1, then league B is attacking league A's tower. Duelist A can participate in both attack and defense.

But duelist A cannot defend or attack more than 1 tower.
For ex. League A attack 2 towers, and also got attacked in 2 towers. Duelist A can only participate in 1 of the attack and 1 of the defense. The other tower then would need other duelists
