Learn what each hero does. I won't speak on the basics because I think they are a bit obvious (using the formations tab, having tankier heroes front typically and dps in back....). It is better to learn specific character matchups. For example, if we know we need to find a high sustain team (typical of some GB) we don't want to do a sustain battle (aSol wilders comp) or stall comp, especially at higher deficit. Say there is a flora orthos comp, you need to figure out what characters will work well into that. Jinwoo is the Flora killer, but TT would probably fall over.

Learning general matchups is very important to learn how to actually campaign. Then you can look into synergies for your team. You can begin to learn this by viewing the formations tab and asking yourself why was this hero used here and why in this spot.

It's also very valuable to take the same team and move around their positions in the same fight to start understanding positioning. Things like who trez or theo or fawkes target, how pippa drop will work, etc.

Yes, they’re fine. And tbh I never bother with changing the order. Usually your main team is what decides whether you win or lose. The other teams are merely to finish off what the main team couldn’t

In the future try not to waste fodders only upgrade once you can get to ascended usually, update your wish list, play the game more, if possible try to get to a better guild for more rewards (skip this step for now wait until your guild leader answers me or somethinf), play expedition and all other game modes for rewards, try to push in all areas, ask for more advice from people

@worthy harbor the easiest thing to do as a beginner if you care about good teams/meta is to look at the most recent companions tierlist, make your wishlist the top 5 of each faction, then focus specifically those people.

early game walker is really powerful even at lower copies, his ult will delete the entire team, trish is less useful until ascended, its the stacking % att buffs that make her broken, mira is really good and does a lot of damage, try walker with palmer and rosaline supporting him, for front stick brutus and rowan, youll be suprised how effective that team is. it will drop off later on though

the goal is to keep walker alive long enough to ult twice with rosaline

give him the best gear you can, the higher att the better

I think I made a mistake when I started. I built my roster and main comp based on guides I found online, but I'm pretty sure most of those were written for Classic, not Companions. I'd really appreciate some input from people who actually know the Companions meta.

My current setup:
Main comp built around Daimon and Thoran as carries
I've read since that Thoran is pretty weak in Companions, which would explain why I've been struggling in some modes

What I need help with:
Based on the heroes I have (screenshots below), what should my main comp actually look like in Companions?
What 2nd and 3rd comps could I build for game modes that require multiple teams?
Any tips on which heroes I should be focusing my resources on going forward?

What have you tried so far? Try to line stronger faction match ups against each other if you can. At least at that level

so low, all will get leveled eventually. I'd just check out a guide or two on wish list and top heroes.

Set your wish list for-sure if you havent

Ahh well definitely use some of the guides @proven yacht and team have put together. I think you can get some of the dimensionals a week after the server starts, but not positive.

I mean its great that there are guides but right now im at chapter 9 and the team i run is brutus and mishka frontline then lyca, walker, tasi/lorsan which i feel is not that good. who is a good dps before chapter 20?
I don't think im gonna get much walker copies anytime soon he is a L

Be patient, grind using different comps/heroes. Mostly look at match ups early on. Definitely focus your wish list wisely. Then save diamonds for dimensionals prolly.
