No. I have unusable heroes ever since the update where fodder started turning into seals. Since you can only upgrade with elite heroes now, all of my old elite+ heroes are useless if I can't revert them. Also, I have lots of fodder just sitting there from before that I can't figure out how to retire. This slowed down my progression quite a bit.

I read someone say they're supposed to add a sweep button to get rid of old fodder, but if it ever existed, I've never been able to find it. But Also, ascending transcended heroes uses elite heroes instead of elite+ heroes, now. I can't figure out how to reset my elite+ heroes.

Classic: Heroes have furniture, engravings and signiture items. Artifacts and ghoulish gallery collections exist. RGMs (resource generating/ranked gamemode) are the main focus. Can reach ch 32 in a week with optimal playing (f2p). Leveling up is generally faster; more p2w however and can be overwhelming due to it existing for 6 years prior to companions.

Companions: A lighter version based on 2019-2020 style AFK Arena with a lot of differences to classic. No furniture, no engravings, no artifacts and no ghoulish gallery. Here stars give the effects of furni and engravings and unlike classic where heroes only need 1 star (unlocks engraving), here most heroes will need to be at 5 stars. Well the early climb on towers and forked fate gives you a lot of resources - then theere are people who priotize SI-items less and get from arena coins weekly star gazer cards.

And as you already explained you can look out for good value bundles, meaning f.e. 5 sg cards for 199 mithril in expedition
or weekly offers that give 10 sg cards for 499

or getting the perkstore (monthly deluxe cards)

aswell as somebenefits from the monthly battle pass and events

star gazers are a test of patience, can only give the advise if you're spending to rather spend on fabled pets - since they'll hold out for longer and be useful in more cases for low spenders

well if you look at the map you see the things called towers and there is no way around them

so even if one slips in, add 2+2 together, you push an enemy out and hold the tower with the strongest folks that you have on the side where they're trying to enter from and gg see ya next season on the next map
