Depends on what you need, Saitama is good in DR and Arena, Merlin is a good support and better campaign imo

Classic: Heroes have furniture, engravings and signiture items. Artifacts and ghoulish gallery collections exist. RGMs (resource generating/ranked gamemode) are the main focus. Can reach ch 32 in a week with optimal playing (f2p). Leveling up is generally faster; more p2w however and can be overwhelming due to it existing for 6 years prior to companions.

Companions: A lighter version based on 2019-2020 style AFK Arena with a lot of differences to classic. No furniture, no engravings, no artifacts and no ghoulish gallery. Here stars give the effects of furni and engravings and unlike classic where heroes only need 1 star (unlocks engraving), here most heroes will need to be at 5 stars. Less p2w as there is only one RGM (Twisted Realm). Campaign and leveling are slower, but they are the main gamemode. Signiture item materials are harder to get than classic, but overall less hassle than classic as it’s way more simplified

Why the game change the guild master in one and not the other?

Classic: Heroes have furniture, engravings and signiture items. Artifacts and ghoulish gallery collections exist. RGMs (resource generating/ranked gamemode) are the main focus. Can reach ch 32 in a week with optimal playing (f2p). Leveling up is generally faster; more p2w however and can be overwhelming due to it existing for 6 years prior to companions.

Companions: A lighter version based on 2019-2020 style AFK Arena with a lot of differences to classic. No furniture, no engravings, no artifacts and no ghoulish gallery. Here stars give the effects of furni and engravings and unlike classic where heroes only need 1 star (unlocks engraving), here most heroes will need to be at 5 stars. Less p2w as there is only one RGM (Twisted Realm). Campaign and leveling are slower, but they are the main gamemode. Signiture item materials are harder to get than classic, but overall less hassle than classic as it’s way more simplified

But since you're new like me you can summon for Trishea on upcoming Destiny banner change to get her to A1 or A5 ideally (since no new hero in Destiny as Lucilla is Hypogean and will be in Stargaze). Since we have no dims and whatnot yet, that's usually the early plan. Gets you fodders to work on ASolise as well.

You can't do what u can in companions, in companions you can swap them around in the crystal so technically you just need 1 high ascension

But classic you need to get everyone high ascension to get past lvl cap cus you can't do the "swap"

Companion is made up of a lot of servers, so it's easier to rank up as f2p as there isn't much whales per server.

Then a few servers are merges as regions, which makes thing a lil more competitive but that's mostly on pvp and becauseof whales, I still rank top in PvE.

Top 30 in DR (region rank)
Top 200 in Arena (also region rank)

So.. First I'm not an expert
But from what I've seen
The new format focuses on one.. the other copies are only relevant when you want to upgrade from
E to E+(1 extra copy making 2),
L to L+ (2 extra copies making 4 ),
M+ to A0 ( 4 extra copies ..making 8 total)
A0 to A1 and so on (need 2 extra copies each)

Same as before.. you still need 8 copies to get from E to A0
Only difference now is all fodder are converted to currency (faction orbs)
We dnt need to stack specific copies of a fodder

For number of currency needed

Pushing arden from R to R+..E to E+ .. L to L+

But with the new system .. all fodder are converted to faction orbs..
Now I just need 36+72+72 orbs (180 fodder copies ) doesn't have to be a specific Fodder Unit

The best hero in the beginning is not Trishea but it's yourself tbh. Your diplomacy to be precise.

Befriend with a whale/spender. Ask them for help while hoarding resources to invest in future op heroes.

Only spend destiny scrolls on dimensional events.

Spend all your faction scrolls on wilder faction.
