classic is about leadderboard in some gamemodes like if ure behind or not fully optimized you will miss a lot of ressources and feel very behind (rank game modes = RGM, i feel like its more for experienced players) , classic is slower , but they have stronger chars and way more chars than us (like 4x more)

companion is very new (1year old) , fast progression , you can duo with someone , autobattle unlocked from start same goes for x4 (chap 4 iirc) , so someone can duo with you to carry you from your guild , less content tho , less optimisation

Companions is a stripped down version of classic with some variation. The big difference comes in with the ability to duo with other players to help push campaign and being able to borrow heroes for other gamemodes.

Some say Companions is a cash grab and that classic is more long term or f2p friendly but you can f2p just fine in both. Making a mistake in classic can be more detrimental if you want to stay competitive.

Read through the pins if you want more details, it's all written there.

As far as servers go Companions gets a new one every 2 days. Feel free to wait for the next one if you like but s206 vs s207 vs s208 mean very little, especially in the long run.

Typically you level up your fodder in the RC and take five up to L+ since it will be easier to get them to L+ first. That will be a lv cap of 160. Once you need to go past that you reset those fodders and take your team past that. You will need 8-10 fodders and 8 of the hero you want to ascend to get them up to A0.

Theres a lot of guides you can find on here that will help. But general advice is go for Wilders first, they are meta and by far strongest right now. Wishlist Mishka, Nevathi, Trishea, Lyca, and Tasi.

Make sure you go off guides and get good heros for other faction wishlists too, but that one is most important. Once you have Asolise unlocked she will replace Tasi. For upgrading skills focus on Trishea first.

Also there will be a dimensional hero released in a couple days. Save all of your destiny summon scrolls and wait for the next hero before using them.

You should only use common heroes (the ones that are blue when opening packs) for upgrading other heroes

Around ch 30/31 you'll be needing more hero xp not purple dust really. So if you are stuck there due to purple dust and you have enough of everything else you can use some of it to upgrade. Just only open as much as you need to to get to the next tier.

If you are really far away from the next lv tier (f.e. just started your first lv 260 and still need to level 4 more of them) maybe wait, but if you are close and need like 2 more upgraded just use the essence and then push as far as possible.
