So like if you go onto your old account and try to build shemira so you can get the hero returns benefits for her it doesnt work. Once you go on companions the heroes you have built on classic at that point in time are the only ones you will be able to get from hero returns.
So I wonder if you make a classic account on a new email, build important heroes and THEN go on companions would you be able to use hero returns on those heroes? I consider that cheesing

Unless I'm wrong these were used as a defense formation in arena, the plan was basically to have it survive the entire duration of the fight so that the attacker automatically loses

but these comps shouldn't be used offensively, especially since thoran cheese is dead in companions

so yeah, it's better to just include flora in a strong comp

You can follow this loosely
Focus on the wilder faction as they are the most important currently due to us recieving a free fully built awakened hero when you ascend 5 wilders to A. Use and ascend Mishka and Lyca and Shem and Rowan those two pairs are good for 2 teams which we reach at ch13. When you unlock stargazing just get 1 copy of Mortas using your first 10 pull and then save the rest.
Everything else is currently a figure it out as you go situation if its not already stated in the pins because of how new the game is.

What is Companions?
Companions is a new alternate version of "Classic" AFK Arena. While Classic is a solo experience that rarely involves working with another person and mostly has a competitive aspect with leaderboard positions, Companions allows you to play in a duo with a friend or a random player, as well as with your guild in guild modes.
What is the difference between Companions and Classic?
In addition to the companionship feature, Companions has an active and passive auto-battle system. The "passive" auto-battle is available from the start of the game. I'm calling it a "passive" auto-battle because it automatically progresses to the next battle and starts it if you haven’t touched the screen. The "active" auto-battle is unlocked after Chapter 10 and requires you to activate it, which then it begins to battle repeatedly until it wins, then move to the next battle, tallying how many stages you’ve passed. While it is battling, you can still interact with other features, like chat or Peaks of Time adventures. If the active auto-battle fails a stage 10 times, it stops.
Classic has a active auto-battle, but it doesn’t tally completed battles, has no limit on stage failures, and doesn’t allow you to leave the battle while autoing.
The most noticeable difference is the lack of content. Since Companions is a new game, it’s expected to have less content. However, it’s almost literally the same game with many heroes removed, only to be reintroduced as "new" heroes. This, however, allows you to experience early Classic to some extent, but it can feel a bit redundant, in the sense that all the missing and added content already exists in Classic. Some modes are new or different, but several familiar modes remain the same. In Companions, you only need to ascend a single hero to raise the RC (Check pins for explanation), and all heroes automatically match the level of your top five heroes.
Multiple features merged, such as combining the stat-boosting abilities from Collections with pets, and merging the furniture and engraving systems into hero stars.
No artifacts or collections yet in the game. Heroes have a sixth slot, which implies something equippable might exist farther into the game or at least planned for later implementation, but no one I’ve asked, even those far into the game, has found any equippable items. Which is better, Classic or Companions?
This is a pretty subjective question, but with all the content, constant updates and events, Classic is the better version for now. However Companions is still quite fun. I have been spending much more time playing Companions than I figured I would, the current balancing and heroes gives a harder experience similar to early Classic. If you think you'd prefer quicker and further progression then Classic is the way to go. However if you want a challenge and don't mind a slower progression then Companions is more fun then you'd expect.

Using it allows you to build select heroes faster. It's better in your case where you have so many good heroes to choose from. But only activate it if you think you're gonna always be playing on this account.

Because sgs can be used to get anything and we don't actually know if the average in this game is the same as in classic. Currently out of 4 copies I have an average rate of 6 sgs per copy. Tho thats a very small sample size so that didn't go into the reasoning for why sgs over mortas copies.

1 Mortas copy is 240k challenger coins for the same amount of coins you can get 32 sgs. If you refer to the pins we are supposed to use our first 10 pull to get 1 mortas. That means after 75000 chally we will have already gotten a Mortas. After that you have the option to either save or build talene. Building Mortas past 1 copy is not currently recommended. Myself aswell as a few others are testing that option, however it seems like it probably wont be better over going talene now since its been revealed that we will get an awakened Talene for ascending 5 celestial heroes, and the graveborn woke is likely to be aezizh (which is worse than atalene).

So going celestial faction will likely be better. However it is also under consideration to just disregard the wokes for celhypo seeing as how outragous 5 ascended celhypos is. It takes 100-200 days even for the best f2p in classic to ascend 5 celhypos and it will probably take longer in this version (assuming the rates are the same)

We get so many scrolls but so few pets. In the long run pets are just as important if not MORE important than building your heroes. Gray emblems are a great value AND you need alot of them AND si10s are pretty impactful AND you can buy out the scrolls and pet scrolls pretty quickly. I have them on there as "buy if green is sold out" not as a always buy option.

You should be buying for both. Again the stores are pretty much the only place we get them and it seems like pet rates for the important ones are pretty shitty.

and you really don't need that many, once a beast reaches mythic you pretty much got 90% of it's usefulness

I've been buying pet scrolls since I started and I still only have a mythic deer and a mythic owl and the mythic owl isnt entirely useful because its atk ability is only for lb heroes so when I use it in dream realm for example, its not boosting me as good as it could be. You want to get multiple ascended pets so you can merge them and get better pets AND beast points for the beast shop.

Yes it will slow your progress to getting Asol, but if you 100% focus on getting her your pets and signature items will be under developed. You will be playing catchup to accounts that played more evenly. This is exactly how f2p do good in classic. Whales hyper focus on the good heroes and ignore foundational heroes while f2p build both, even if slower. Sure those whales get higher ranks still, but the f2p can still win fights and rank quite high aswell. @radiant ocean got t20 this last TS and I got t26. JD (moderator of this server) is ch67 because he popularized this style of play.

Typically building horizontally, instead of vertically is favored in afk arena. Yes it can give you an advantage given your rng. But in general it boils down to each persons rng.

Early accounts that hyperfocus on asol currently will no doubt have an advantage because no one has an evenly/optimally built account, but in a few months when the servers have all stabalized and a meta has formed is when f2p that hyperfocus will start getting hurt
