I wanted to bring up a topic I’ve seen some F2P players being really unhappy with: the idea of introducing something like the “Swap Scroll” / Pandora’s Box from Classic.

Some players have locked themselves into “bad choices” and invested a lot into besats and heroes like Celestwing through Wish Leaves, or Talene through Stargazing. I think Lilith is aware of power creep and that some upcoming beasts and heroes are simply stronger than older ones.

It would be great if we could maybe get Classic-style swap scrolls once in a while, giving players the option to undo previous commitments. Companions feels especially rough resource-wise for F2P players, and it’s frustrating knowing that once you’ve committed to something bad, there’s no way to undo it.

This would probably make the game more competitive and fair. That said, there’s probably a reason why Lilith hasn’t given us one yet. Still, it’s definitely something both the community and Lilith could reflect on, because this is one thing Classic did really well, in my opinion.

I think there's enough pets, let alone special pets take a while for f2p to build, 2 months in and some are only able to get mythic now on one beast. A couple considerations like increasing diamonds in certain daily events. Providing a diamond use day. For example every Sunday, diamonds can be used in Pet summons, Stargazing. Give's players something to look forward to and save. Splurging is what sometimes makes the game enjoyable (not with real money either). Increasing reward ratio in arena should be a consideration once servers merge. Tie it to something like guild hunt damage or participation to increase rewards. Just like Dream realm is tied to expedition to boost rewards and increase amount of tries.

then we optimized the code 2-3 times and did different simulation graph and scenarios and then somebody recoded it for c# for better performance

and in 100 million simulation samplesizes, you aren't as bad as you pull with lilith rng

Late to the discussion here, but working my way up through the late 40s and now chapter 50+, the biggest issue is probably the fabled beasts. There is almost always a sub for a hero. Some of the previous clears to copy are obvious the pet makes it work. Im not f2p or any sort of whale. My cele/hypos are trash. I do have all the dimensionals available tho. The biggest bottleneck comes down to finding a pet that works instead of the 5star fables.

Like Arthur and Lucilla and things are great but you can find a sub. Finding a sub for 5 star bunny isnt an option. The whole group often needs reworked. Vanilla Latte was great for copying but even they are getting stars on the beasts at higher levels. Crown/cayan/maestro/daddy/vanilla are all good to copy but if someone busts out the big beast I often have to rework a few groups to advance

it depends, I think we haven't reached the limit and we aren't using most 4F heroes optimally yet - f.e. up there on ch55 i started to randomly use nemora charme again and since then we used it almost every fight

But it is true that its hard to replace sheep and bunny.

Tho for the most part you can find a lot of the times owl/deer/ice crown solutions with enough patience and "brute force"

The pulling things towards nemora to charm them was super clever. I think some of these heros that are unused could certainly be good in niche spots.

I'm never the lowest rated clear. My rc and overall level probably help with the brute forcing at times. Its just getting tougher without wanting to spend a small fortune lol

i think the biggest problem is a lot of people are not too intrested in campaign and we're not crwodsourcing ideas and pushing together as much

part of it is the long grind to 40+

part of it is being asynchron because you can only comit onto so many things as f2p and cannot swap into meta or semi-meta (hence why i wrote some feedback to bearrr because of it #companions-chat message)

and yea that is a slow burning marathon as it is - another idea to push these things could be saving non-complete clears but rather lowest cmbr fights - like from the start of it

but that would be a lot of data to cache and prob something afk isnt as intrested in

'cause if we would cache and sort every clear, even incomplete stages we would find a lot more solution where no fabled pets were used and could optimize stuff even lower and find substitutes even easier

but with bunny and sheep atleast for campaign its a steep uphill battle for celestwing and normal pets

pvpwise pega was completly broken but tbf is a slow start and we found ways subbing him for owl/deer more often than not

tho for sure you cant just put a owl in a stall comp and have the same result

s2 was miles ahead of jazz and jazz and s2 went up pairing up one day but took quite a bit for jazz to increase the diff
