I don’t think classic players would be as frustrated and looking for conflict if devs would be more transparent about the role of companions. First they said it would be more of a test grounds, with the primary focus on classic. They quickly changed that by making companions the default server and kind of neglecting classic, even making the most anticipated returning event last at most a week instead of the usual full duration.
If devs could be more willing to seek some sort of interaction between the servers, and clearly tell us where they want the game to go in the future it wouldn’t be this bad.

It’s an unfortunate situation and I called it a paradox, cause classic players are instantly inclined to “hate” comp due to it essentially getting all the new krakens and players as a whole, then comp players also feel attacked which breeds bad blood

For ages the strategy has always been to do a TS-focussed account and snowball from there, because it’s the easiest to rank high in. With the introduction of companions we get way less players, maybe a quarter of the usual rate, making region splits take forever. It’s impossible to compete for high rankings against players who have upwards of a 6 month advantage on you. Rewards only really get good for the t100 players in a region, which used to be very possible f2p. Even if you didn’t get it fast you’d be guaranteed a spot on split, but with splits taking forever the entire account progression has been significantly slowed down. You also can basically never compete in NC/CR anymore because NC region splits are even rarer and CR is CR can’t build account without income from TS/NC

you could try freeing something else up completly and testing it on 5

while beating another stage with something new

since you have like lucretia available

first it'd be figuring out what from your current stuff works best against it with single fights and if you've found something that seems good and optimizeable

you use it on 5

and try to beat the other comp that you migrated to 5 with your other tools/heroes

because oku warp, with tasi and mehira is like literally the hardest fight on that one - that held me hostage aswell lmao
